Dogs can get out! Beware....

This pen is about the best we could find for our Portugese Water Dog BUT at 16 weeks old and 25 lbs, he was able to figure out how to jump up to push the door up and release the catch, therefore escaping easily from the playpen. BEWARE! We have had to purchase a metal chain and a lock to keep him in now because once learned, they don't forget!

ONE OF THE BEST!

This is the second playpen of this brand purchased and is one o the best I know! The issue that kept it from earning four stars is the attachments only have two positions and if you move the playpen by yourself, the attachments can separate over time. It has taken me "forever" to purchase additional attachments despite calling customer service via phone and email. So, need two people to gently lift item. Otherwise, remove attachments to avoid separating them. It is truly a fortress for your pet! Wished one was made for adult parents! lol

Excellent Quality

I bought this for my 8 month old Standard Poodle puppy. He had "outgrown" his original XPen, but was not ready to give up his "safe place". This product is very sturdy and contains a 40 pound (and growing) pup with no issues! It will also be used as door barriers later.

It is nice and does the job needed

I needed something to keep my dog off the grassy areas unsupervised as she has been eating rocks lately when I am away from the house. I contacted Richell (manufacturer of this gate system) and they recommended this. It is nice and does the job. The only reason I deducted one star is that the cap locks between panels force you to have the gate or panels in certain positions (90-120-180 degrees) and does not allow as much flexibility as the indoor system I have by the same manufacturer. It does the job though, so overall pleased.

Perfect for a new puppy! Edges are smooth, the slats are close enough to see in and out but no worries of little paws getting stuck. Buy 2 and attach together and you'll have the perfect size!

New Puppy & Old Libary

I bought this specifically to keep our puppy from discovering my library. The idea of chewed book bindings was simply not acceptable.

Love this product, but it won't work for every dog

We bought two of these and linked them together to make a huge playpen (they are modular in that respect). We have a small, senior dog who is not strong or big enough to jump or push an enclosure over. It works perfect for us, but it might not be suitable for a young, strong dog who is determined to escape any enclosure.

Sturdy construction. Functions as known. I shape it as a rectangle. I bought the tray to go under it. Love it!
