Great cage for starting birds

I use this for starting chicken, geese, peachicks etc etc. It works great. The bottom slides in and LOCKS with the help of the included blocks. One stops it from sliding out and two in the back which keep it from sliding out that way as well .I haven't had any trouble keeping chicks in it so far. I have snap on lights that work perfectly. The floor grate would be nice to have but isn't needed as having it would only cause the chicks to create a huge mess outside the cage.

This extra large size does not come with a slide-in grate like the smaller size does, so that was disappointing. Without it, there is no stability for the plastic pan, which slides around because it is not anchored.

Nice size but….

Nice size, not easy to build the instructions were horrible to follow. Doesn’t look very sturdy but will see how it holds up for now.
