Versatile Oval Pot

I love the pot. It cooks and maintains heat beautifully. I usually half the recommended cooking time by putting it in the oven, and once it is finished cooking, I leave it in the oven overnight. Because the pot maintains its heat, it will continue to cook, saving me on power bills. The next morning, the flavour of my casserole is rich and deep. Because of its oval shape, I can cook a big whole chicken and is perfect for lamb shanks.

Le Creuset Signature Enameled Iron Oval

This was purchased for my husband, he is the chef of the family. The pot is absolutely beautiful, well made, and easy to clean. It was definitely worth the price for the high quality of this brand. The staff were also very helpful and knowledgeable about this brand.

So many uses in our kitchen!

The quality in these products are evident throughout. They are heavy, sturdy and well made. They are practically indestructible which to me makes it worth the money because they last such a long time. There are so many uses for it: I use it for everything! On the hob, in the oven for roasting. It's like a one pot wonder. I would definitely get more Le Creuset products going forward. I love the variations of colours they come in too, although I have the classic orange.

This brand is expensive but is superior to every other it is 100% worth it. Whether cooking on the stove top or in the oven, my dishes come out perfect. I especially love making pot roast and stew, the flavors develop so deeply and rich 🤤 Cleaning is pretty easy although I am glad that I bought in a darker color for secondary pieces as staining will happen over time.

BUYER BEWARE - THERE IS NO QUALITY CONTROL

Came horribly damaged and sub quality - TWICE. I couldn’t believe how bad the first one was I received…. It had a bad scratch inside and an HUGE spot on the outside where the black iron wasn’t covered by the enamel. So weird. Assumed it was a fluke, dealt with reporting it, lugging it to UPS, and waited A MONTH for a new one which came with the same issue AND cracked! I didn’t even think it was possible to break a cast iron Dutch oven. and at these prices? What a waste of my time and energy.

I absolutely love this! The even heat distribution and retention make it perfect for slow-cooking stews, soups, and braising meats. Plus, the enamel finish is a breeze to clean and looks stunning on my stovetop. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is unbeatable, and I know it'll last me a lifetime. Honestly, I don't know how I ever cooked without it!

Beautiful

I treated myself to this when one of the colours was reduced to clear. It's such a beautiful pot, quite heavy (in a good way). Quality is obvious and the lifetime guarantee is reassuring with such an investment. I love how versatile the pot is, being able to use it on the hob and in the oven is great for dishes that requires both methods of cooking.

Bucket List

Received one piece as a gift. Just purchased 4additional pieces. These have been on my bucket list forever. They are wonderful to cook with. I call them my cauldrons because I swear they are magic. Dishes I've been cooking for years taste so much better, not just to me, but to the entire family! Yes they are pricey, but worth every penny to those who love to cook.

Quality made, nice finish, multipurpose.

Very thankful for summer sale. Feels like I’ve bought the Rolls Royce of Dutch ovens! I bought this size with a casserole for 2-3 people in mind . It could easily hold a whole chicken. I bought the oval shape on the recommendation of Julia Child as good for holding joints of meat and chickens. This size is not overly heavy either. It also makes a lovely serving dish and the iron stays hot for quite a while for those who want seconds. I can find no fault with this item. I use wooden , plastic but preferably silicon utensils to prolong its life. I feel this is an heirloom I will be able to pass on to my children. Thrilled to have it. I’ve decided not to put it in the dishwasher and find a short soak with detergent water and a quick clean out with my scrub daddy, is all it needs. Then dry and put away. Less

Only Dutch Oven I Own

I own the 2.75 Quart Oval Dutch Oven. This is the only piece in my collection that is classified by LeCreuset as a Dutch Oven. The larger pots that I own are the Oval Casserole, the Sauteuse & the Square Cocotte. I cook mainly for myself so these pieces are large enough for me to do my weekly batch cooking. The 2.75 Quart Oval Dutch Oven holds enough meat to roast for several dinners for me. I also use it for spaghetti dishes. I love the shape and it is a wonderfully useful piece in my collection.

Good product

It's a nice bowl. It took less time to heat up Ox tail while we cooked last time and source were kept many comparing to using other bowl. The only complain on the experience is the deliver only put the bowl at front concierge which is far from our apartment (10 mins walking distance) We stayed at home in the whole morning but neither door bell rang nor message received for product arrival. But the message said no one at home and left it there. Actually, this delivery should be door to door, correct? We finally walked there to check it was there or not and carried such a heavy product back by hand.

Perfect for family of 4

I enjoy cooking in this pot, cleaning it not so much. Its heavy and if there is burnt food on the bottom, its hard to remove it. I have to watch some videos on tricks to get the burnt food out effortlessly. Other than that, it's great to cook in this, the size fits my family of 4, the thick bottom distributes the heat evenly, the cover seals tightly so the steam stays inside, and the food turns out delicious.

Oval Dutch Oven

Our new addition to the family is the striking Rhone coloured oval ditch oven from Le Crueset. It pairs beautifully with our Cerise coloured pieces. Everything about my experience with Le Crueset has been stellar and draws me back again and again. Love the products. Love the customer service.

Love Le Creuset BUT

I absolutely love Le Creuset and have been building a kitchen set over time for some time now (price $$$). This last piece I received should not have been sold for full price. The piece was painted unevenly and had a pin hole that looked like it was covered in paint. I wrote the company. I will post exactly what they wrote back to me."I have received your pictures and I do see the pinholes and glazing. These types of intricacies are something that develops during the casting process and passes an inspection before leaving our manufacturer in France. It will not affect the workmanship of the item and won't cause chipping or rusting later. I hope this helps"I wish for the amount of money these products are they stood behind them more than this.

My LC dreams came true with this purchase!

I have dreamt of owning an LC Dutch oven for years. I finally started baking bread, and figured now is the time to buy one. I am SO glad I did. I have owned this beauty for about a month or so, and I have probably used it 50 times - no exaggeration! There are days when I use it to bake bread, then clean it, then immediately use it again the make stock or a soup or beans. Clearly, I need to purchase another! The only downside is that they are heavy... and my kitchen sink is quite small. I don't want to chip the beautiful Caribbean finish, so it's like a delicate dance when washing it in my small sink. But it looks so pretty sitting on the stovetop - worth a little elbow pain to see it when I walk by!!

LOVE IT!

My husband wanted one of these for a looooonggg time. It was a hefty purchase (financially and physically!) BUT it so far is WORTH IT! The cast iron heats up quickly and also cools down much more quickly than ceramic crockpot, which was really handy when simmering things all day and wanting to refrigerate before bed - it cools down much quicker since it is metal!I feel like the lid handle/lift gets too hot for me, but for my husband it was cool enough and he loves it. The side handles also stay relatively cool, kind of amazing.

Exactly what I hoped and expected

I expected the pot to get hot quick and on a low flame, but even on my lowest stove setting, it boiled a very thick gumbo, nearly full 7 quart Dutch oven, quickly and needed to be stirred often, and still burnt a bit. It slides across the stove easily, almost to a dangerous level. But overall, it's great. Light weight for what it is, beautiful, efficient, easy to clean, all around top notch. Just go slow and pay attention to the heat.

Do not trust their lifetime warranty

I had the same pot instead an older model for over 8 years. I only use that to make soup or stew. Never over boiled or burn without liquid in the pot. I made the first “life time warranty” claim because the vegetables and meat were staring to burn and stick under the pot . They said it was cause by overheating! How?! So I spent thousand dollar to buy a whole set and none of them will cover by the warranty?! Lesson learned.
