solid investment for my books

This is a stylish, well-built bookcase, I may order a couple of more after Christmas!

A beautiful retro storage unit

Mr. and Mrs. Bates would've been very happy to have this piece of furniture in their cottage. Assembly instructions were easy enough to follow, and it's a stunning piece when assemble!

Nice piece of furniture.

Arrived quickly took maybe 20 minutes to put together. Packed very well. This is tall! Very well made! A bit darker than I expected.

I was looking for a lovely accent bookcase for our bedroom. This is the perfect piece. Not too big but just right for family photos or books on that have-to-read list. The upper drawers are a plus! Highly recommend!

Oak Mantel Height Bookcase w/Drawer

Love this bookcase and perfect for where I wanted it. The problem we had is that the corners of ALL the shelves were damaged. I didn't want to wait for a replacement so due my clever husband's work, he repaired them enough to hide the worst of the damage and hide it to the back of the unit. The package was very damaged on one end when received. Perhaps the carrier should be notified.

Great Bookcase

I originally bought the corner desk of this and then bought both the tall and short bookcases for my office space. It was a bit complicated to put together, but came with everything needed and turned out great. This shelf is perfect for all my tall and heavy books and I can keep other items in the drawer. Definitely recommend.

This is not heirloom, but better than low grade junk.

Instructions are very incomplete. You must use washers in every threaded attachment. If you don't, the fasteners will burst through veneer. Be prepared to have additional supplies of washers as they only supply 4 - you'll need at leaders eight. The washer diameter supplied may not be sufficient fir the hole they drilled.

This piece is entirely veneer. Bolts are used to assemble. You MUST use washers with all bolts. This is not mentioned in instructions. If you don't, you will burst veneers.

Good for narrow space in your house.

Despite of the one leg is missing the adjustment screw piece at the bottom, it is sturdy enough and looks good. It's is narrow for small space in my house and just perfect for my needs.

Bookcase Watch your measurements

This a nice quality piece for the price. It was relatively easy to assemble although the screws were only good for the little Allen wrench. It would have been better if I could have used a Phillips screwdriver. Also, I thought I had measured correctly but didn't take into account that only the top of this unit is 32 inches; the body is about 27 inches. The drawer is nice (not as deep as I would have liked) but it was defective. My husband was able to fix it thought. I still like this piece very much which is why I kept it.

This is as handsome in person as it looks online. All the parts were present and accounted for, fit together well, with no additional tools. If you need to attach to wall to prevent tipping you may need drill and/or hammer. We were able to adjust leg size at the base of legs for balance and added a few heavy books on bottom shelf and, so voila....no tipping. A lovely piece, and well made.

Gorgeous little bookcase.

This is a beautiful quality bookcase. Please check measurements carefully - because it is small, at only about 50" tall. It arrived well-packaged and was very easy to put together. We've bought several pieces from this manufacturer in the past and have never been disappointed.

Quality bookcase that is easy to put together

This bookcase is a solid well made piece of furniture. It shipped quickly and arrived super fast. It is was quite easy to put together using the included Allen wrench and a drill (for the twelve wood screws that hold the back board in place). It is a heavy/sturdy bookshelf made with real wood and metal. I am an older woman and I was able to put it together by myself. Simple straightforward instructions. I would highly recommend this bookcase to anyone looking for a taller narrow bookshelf. The drawer is already put together and it glides smoothly. This is a lovely addition to my home. I am very happy to have found this quality piece of furniture at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Great bookcase

Very please with the Leick Home Mission Slatted Bookcase. Packaging was very good so the bookcase arrived unblemished. Very simple to assemble. Parts all had letters to be sure you were picking the right piece. Good solid wood. Backing is veneer but is solid. Assembly was simple and I was able to do it mysey in not much more than 30 minutes.

this bookcase was easy to assemble. I did it myself. it is very sturdy and well made. the wood is great and arrived without damage. small bookcase fits in the small space I had for it. would definitely recommend:)

Beautiful finish. The drawer at the top is a nice feature. Easy to assemble. Easy to clean under, unlike furniture that goes all the way to the floor. The piece across the back really increases the strength of the piece. It's also exactly the right height for a TV stand, so that you can watch while you're sitting, standing, or moving about. I've ordered a second one to place into an otherwise difficult corner of the room. It will serve as a bookshelf and as a light stand over my computer desk.

Great Find

Love this bookcase. The drawer is pre-assembled, so all I needed to do was put on the back and sides. Looks as good as the picture! It appears to be solid wood. Not like the first one I bought that was so cheap it broke apart during shipping. highly recommend it. The back is really sturdy. There is hardware to attach it to the wall so it not tip over. And the hardware attaches to the back on the case itself. Highly recommend it. Would definitely buy it again.

Beautiful piece, but much smaller than I anticipated. It did not serve my needs, but nice addition to my living space. I will look for a similar smaller piece to store additional books.

I was expecting it to be bigger due to the box it came in but that meant good packaging and no damage to the book shelf. It was pretty easy to put together and the pieces seem to be of good quality so far. The drawer slides nicely and being able to level the feet are great assets.
