If installed per instructions, the water will leak

This door was installed following the instructions. The doors were adjusted to minimize the gap between the tub and the bottom of the glass door. That gap ended up being 1/2" of vertical gap. The installation manual also mention that the inside door is the one closest to the shower head. When that is the case, you will end up having an horizontal gap between the glass door and the threshold seal of about 1-3/4" go gap. Here is when the problem begins.... when you take a shower, the water bounces against the tub and goes under the 1/2" vertical gap between the tub and the door, and since the door is not making a seal against the threshold seal due to the 1-3/4" gap between the door and the seal, the water will end up going over the threshold and into the bathroom floor. I ran a troubleshooting test were the outside door is the closest to the shower, and I got no leaks. So, if you decide to buy this door, run these two test before installing the handles. I am sure that you will be convinced that the outer door should be the one closest to the door and not the inside door as mentioned in the installation manual.

I wanted a cool looking frameless overhead bar design glass shower door to finish my downstairs bath remodel. Also, the design had to be one that I could install myself. The Kohler Levity Semi-Frameless unit fit the bill perfectly. While it is not a true "frameless" design shower door it it certainly looks like one. My concerns about water leakage trumped my desire for the totally frameless style look and the Levity model won out. The Silver color model (polished aluminum I think) compliments the Chrome plumbing fixtures and matching hardware that was used throughout the bathroom. The 74" height of the glass panels combined with the 4" height of the shower base sill ensures that no overspray finds its way out onto the floor.
