Great washer dryer combo

Here’s a short review based on your feedback:

[Rewarded Review] Great Combo Unit for Permanent Location

I have owned this for 7 months and just finally got to move into my tiny house on wheels to start using it so I can finally review it. It washes everything very well. Dries pretty well, sometimes takes a little longer than I might have hoped. It is very noisy though in the environment I have it in. So I don’t know that I would suggest it to other people in my situation. But it is fantastic washer/dryer combo unit for someone who has a “normal” floor to put it on where all the vibration from the extreme spin cycles won’t shake your whole house.

Machine combo works great for a small apartment

First, read the manual. Second, the final spin on Extra High or High, can vibrate quite a bit, and be very noisy. I have had to adjust that spin down to low or medium, on a normal cycle in consideration of my neighbors. Doing smaller loads and programing the dry cycle separately has worked for me. It does actually dry your clothes, which is what I was worried about from some of the reviews I had read. For me in a small city apartment, the combo washer/dryer is working out great.

Never buy this

Owning this washer / dryer is torture. Please take my word and never buy it. I suffered trying to make it work for a year and finally gave in to buying a new REAL washer and dryer. This washer takes the smallest loads or it shakes violently. It takes up to 4 HOURS to dry the clothes and they will still be damp. It’s not practical at all unless your washing 2 shirts. It can’t handle more than one towel. It broke twice in the year I had it. I’m so happy I’m done using it.

[Rewarded Review] So far so good

Overall machine is doing whats supposed to. 6 months of regular use at time of review. Ideal for smaller bathrooms and ventless dryer is a big saver. Different modes of washing and smartphone remote as well. Cleans very well. Drying takes little longer than usual which is to be expected with this type of dryer but that doesn't concerns me. Make sure to regularly run your clean cycles, drain the water on the bottom and keep the door slightly open when not in use and you'll be set.

It does wash clothes. However, drying problematic

I had already read some reviews that had the issue of the drying times. Some basically came down to load sizes and the expectations. My wife was interested in some of the other features such as sanitation feature and an array of other wash cycles. We were both interested in the Wi-fi feature. The unit arrived, delivery was where I needed it dropped and I then installed it into our laundry closet as shown in the attached photos. Read the manual, installed the app, attached it to our network. I was ready to take it for a spin. LOL. Anyways, with a minimal load of a pair of jeans, shirt and a towel. I selected the Wash and Dry feature and was given a 2-hour run time. Pressed play and it began. Two hours later, the app notified me the cycle was complete. The unit then went into a cool down mode that lasted another hour, notified me again when this complete, then it powered off. However, I was extremely disappointed when I reached into items that were still damp to the touch. Further reading reveled that this cycle used the most energy efficient mode possible, cold water, air-dry method, no heat etc. BTW, we also have the ability to track our energy usage and more on this later.

Man, what a mess. Bought online. Tried to send back but the local store can’t do returns for appliance online orders. Attempted to call the online help-desk, but good luck ever reaching a human. I have been a long time customer and fan of HD but this is sad. These units are terrible! For $1400 please just go with a washer and dryer. Clothes come out wrinkly and there’s not a way to fluff up. Wast of money. Please do not buy any appliance online! Go to the store directly and talk with the salesman. They will talk you out of this unit and if for some reason you have an issue, you at the very least get to talk to a human. Don’t believe me? Call the number for online order help and see what happens. Sad and disappointing. Buyer BEWARE. You have been warned.

Do Not Buy!!

I purchased this machine in July. I have had it repaired 4 times. I called LG and I asked to speak with a supervisor. It took TWO MONTHS and 3 phone calls to get someone from the “Presidential Liaisan” dept. They sent a repair guy who said that this is a problem with LG washers but nothing is broken. The Presidenial dept then TEXTED me saying the vibration issue is not a defect and closed out the case and shut down my ability to respond to text. So apparently it’s normal for a washer to jump across the floor while cycling and knock things off shelves?! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I will never purchase anything LG again and I advise you all to think twice before purchasing from them yourselves.

Dryer is terrible!

This machine was in the house we purchased, seemed perfect for the smaller space, boy was I wrong! Washing the clothes is fine, but that heat pump, ventless dryer part is terrible! An average size load of 4 adult size jeans and 3 child size jeans took 2.5 hours to dry, and the pockets and crotch area were still wet! Not to mention that the darks come out covered in fuzz, lint etc., I am using washer cleaner in the drum and on the seals every 2 loads to get rid of the fuzz and lint! I will keep it as it washes fine, I'm hoping it will allow a regular electric dryer to be stacked upon it. I don't see how the heat pump is anymore efficient when it takes hours to dry one average size load.

Zero help from LG even within the warranty period.

Only a couple months after we bought this machine for our condo it started vibrating badly and shaking. It was level, we and our contractor checked it. We had a contractor build a raised shelf specifically for this machine and because of that - LG SAID THE WARRANTY WOULDN'T APPLY. It had to be on the ground. Then why do people use this for RVs??The tech shrugged and said a repair would cost nearly the same as a new machine. My mistake I guess? DONE WITH LG products.

[Rewarded Review] Worst appliance experience ever!!!!

Gave it 1 star due to Best Buy not due to product. Haven't been able to use it yet. First we weren't notified that the machine was backoredered and we had to reschedule delivery. Then we weren't told haul-away doesn't include disconnection. Had to reschedule. Had to quickly find someone to disconnect as the washer was sitting in my mother's dining room. Paid $100 to disconnect. Sceduled haul-away and installation. They did haul-away but now we were told they can't install because the water valves were under the sink!!! Where else do you expect to find water valves!!?? No they must be on top of machine or behind machine. Was told by 2 phone representatives that Best Buy would compensate me for the misunderstanding. Well, all they wanted to do was send me a gift card. After all this aggravation I will never shop in Best Buy!! Even my cousin bought a microwave from Best Buy and the first 3 stopped working within a week!!! Absolutely horrible!! Finally got washer installed yesterday, but now we need someone to snake the drain. I will come back and review the machine after we've had a chance to use it, but I felt it necessary to let people know bow horrible Best Buy treats their customers.

It's not a conventional W/D. Be open-minded

I'm really happy with the size that fits in my tiny apt. I don't have any position that I get dirty, so the speed cycle for washing is short and sweet 30 mins. The dryer takes a bit of getting used to. The clothes actually feel damp when you take them out but if you shake them out and they cool off... They are usually dry. It takes me about 90 mins to dry a full load. I'm ecstatic to have a combo that I can hook up to my bath vanity and put the drain in my tub. I think they could shorten the timing for regular wash. I don't think it should take 90 mins to wash a regular load. If you do the auto regular wash followed by the dry cycle it takes about 3 1/2 hours for one load. Seems excessive to me. There is a lot of versatility with wash and dry cycles. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the convenience of having it in my home. I haven't seen a large increase in my electric bill. I do 2-3 loads a week. The delivery guys were awesome!

[Rewarded Review] Exceeds expectations so far

So glad to have found this space saving gem! I'm in the process of turning my garage into a livable ground-level accessible apartment for a family member with mobility issues. We had to have basic plumbing along with a 240 electrical outlet installed for the dryer portion (this requires a 120 in addition for the washer portion) and are temporarily using an indoor lint kit until we have a permanent vent drilled through the wall. The size of this unit will combine the kitchenette and laundry area seamlessly once cabinets and counters are installed and it simply looks SO much nicer than the stacked single units I had been considering. This compact combo provides the perfect solution for our independent living space rather than carrying laundry through the main part of the house and all the way up to the second floor. Both the washer and the dryer functions perform better than I had anticipated. It's undeniably small, but still fits a decent amount of clothing; plenty for an individual. It fits queen sheets (confirmed) fine or can handle 6 towels. Drying seems to take a little longer, but the efficiency rating is great. The only laundry items that will require a larger unit will be heavier blankets / comforters, which I can bring into the main wash area. My go to on this is the speed cycle because it's very quick yet still thorough and I am just thrilled with the machine over-all because you don't have to transfer the wet items from one machine to another to dry. Take the time to read over the functions in the manual for all the convenient cycle options. This unit has exceeded my expectations so far!

[Rewarded Review] Extremely Quiet!

The main advantages of an All in One Compact Front Load Washer & Dryer Combo is that it takes up less than half the space of a typical washer dryer. This 2.4 cubic foot washer dryer is only 24 inches wide. There is no venting for the dryer necessary. It runs on 120 Volt house current and does not require a natural gas, or propane hookup. This is great for an apartment, a college dorm room, a small vacation home, or even a motorhome.
