My husband finally put this together. The space inside is great; however, the roof that’s supposed to open all the way came a little damaged and cheaply made. Looks great but priced too high.

Plastic inserts broke right away. Piece missing.

I love the house but several of the little plastic inserts that come with it to secure the screws into broke as soon as I screwed in the screw. The ones on the handles, the heater mount and the ones on the front that the handles click in to. I didn't over tighten them and once the first one broke, I was ever so gentle with the others and they broke too. Hopefully I can get replacements sent to me that aren't as fragile and maybe some extras too as I have a feeling some of these will break too. Sad that you spend this much money on a product and some of the parts are poorly made. I am also missing the Lifetime badge that attaches to the front of the house. Uggh :o(

I do not recommend. It was hard to put together. It’s very cheap plastic. The lid won’t stay closed. Wayfair won’t refund me. And the company just wants to send me a new lid. It was a big mistake buying this. And I’m having problems with the heater the company recommended to go with this product. Now I have to think of plan b to keep my pets warm this winter.

Love this dog house!

I’ve been searching for the perfect dog house and finally found it! It’s very sturdy and has all the features you need - roof that opens, inside wall that’s removable and a heater mount for cold weather. It’s definitely well designed and was easy to put together!

I bought this dog house for my German Shepherd, and he absolutely loves it! It's very spacious and well-ventilated. I also appreciate that it's easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this product to other dog owners.

Tough

We put the dog house on slightly uneven surface in our backyard so at times the parts did not align correctly. However, we made it work. Our two dogs don't seem interested in the dog house. I have a feeling the cats will explore inside.

Great Dog House

I bought this Lifetime Deluxe Dog House (Large) a few months ago. It is very well engineered. Lifetime thought of everything when designing this dog house. The assembly was very quick and easy with the directions included. The gas piston assist roof works very well and makes it very easy to clean. It is completely dry in the rain. The divided space is a great in the winter for keeping the dog warm. All in all this is a very durable product, and I would definitely recommend this dog house.

Great dog house, but the roof latches suck.

My 91 pound livestock guardian dog loves this dog house and in always in it. I have another LGD (68.5 pounds) who could fit in this house with my 91 pound dog with some room to comfortably spare. Unfortunately, my smaller LGD chooses not to use the dog house regardless of bad weather. The only qualm I have with this dog house is that the roof latches aren't dependent when there are strong winds so the roof will and has flown/flung open. Other than this problem, I would have given a 5 star review instead of 4 stars.

Bummed

Not what I expected from lifetime. Plastic is thin roof handles barely hold on and feel really cheap. One of the struts broke right away. My dog door was scratched and has a bad wave in it.for the price point I was expecting something really solid but sadly… no. I’ve never felt ripped off on a lifetime product but do with this one. Wish I could return.

Great as a Duck Hut!

We bought this for our ducks and it has worked absolutely perfectly. My husband and teenager put it together easily in one afternoon and so far it’s been great in the early spring Montana weather (already has been great in the wind, rain, snow and graupel). I appreciate how durable it feels and we’ll definitely be keeping Lifetime in mind for other storage situations in the future.

Best dog house purchase and they love it!

We needed a roomy house for our 2 dogs and this one looked amazing. We ordered it in early Dec of 2022 and received it sooner than expected. The entrance to the side with a flap, vents, and plenty of room. I was amazed at how much they use it. I was afraid it was going to be a waste of money but it was not at all! The divider will stay during winter and be removed during summer. I added a piece of mesh over each vent to prevent bees or whatever from flying in during the summer. Love the easy-open top. That allows us to open it and air it out daily. I cannot say enough good things about this dog house! Thank you!

This dog house is awesome! I have to be gone for long hours during the day so my dog has to stay outside. We have had some really cold weather so I was getting worried about her. So I got this dog house and put a heater in it and it does amazing. The weather was getting down to 12 degrees with a wind chill over below zero but this house did amazing. It has vents on the side that you close in the winter and open in the summer. The lid also can lift up a few inches and hold in place so this summer when we get close to 105 degrees I can open the top and the side vents to get some air circulation but still have her covered. If you’re looking for a versatile dog house, I highly recommend it!!

The Perfect Dog House

We are so in love with our new doghouse. I have 2 mini-Australian shepherds who are 30 lbs each. They both fit nicely in the house. One of the features we were most excited about was the material the house is made out of. The idea that it won’t rot and won’t need to be repainted like our wooden backyard fence is amazing! I was also pleased with the quality of the clear door. The door was the perfect thickness to keep closed with a little wind and also light enough the dogs had no problem pushing it to get through. I also really appreciate that the roof opens. This makes it easy to clean and also easy to see the pups if they decide they don’t want to come out. If you are looking for a backyard dog house, this is the perfect choice.

My dog absolutely loves his new dog house! The overall quality is amazing. It was very simply to put together and I love how they offer the video for instructions on top of the paper instructions. My favorite features are the roof that you can open up and the vents on the side you can choose to close or leave open. You have a choice of putting in a divider or taking it out for extra space and it comes with a heater mount to keep you dog warm if you keep them out for a long period of time. It’s also very spacious inside I climbed through the doggy door and tested it out myself. I definitely will recommend this dog house to all my friends and family!

Five Star Dog House

I put it together by myself (5'6" 53 year old woman engineer). It took a couple of hours, maybe 3 with a break. Will use a helper for the roof with the second one I just bought. Excellent instructions and well labeled parts. My only criticism would be directed at the door flap. Everything is high quality with this project...and then there is that crappy flap. A chewer would easily rip it off. I had to re-engineer it abit with some magnets so it closed better. No regrets and worth the money 100%.

The build quality on this doghouse is incredible! It is also very spacious. My 2 dogs, Rowe and Nalu, are 90 and 110 lbs, and they both fit in it comfortably.

This dog house is legit! This is my dog's first dog house and it does not disappoint. I love how the windows open and close and you can open the whole house from the top! My dog was a bit confused about how to get in and out and was scared of the plastic, but it's nothing a few treats and training won't solve. He now is very enthusiastic about it!

Best Outdoor Dog House I've seen

This dog house was sent to me by Lifetime products to review and I have nothing but good things to say. This dog house is extremely nice quality and over all easy to build. I absolutely love that the roof is an easy to open lid that can be used when you're cleaning it out or needing to check inside. It's big enough to fit my 35 lb dog's bed in there and still have room for other things. The middle panel is removable which I absolutely love.

Perfect house for an outdoor dog

The dog house is one of the best I’ve seen in the market! The materials used really shows how well the quality of the dog house is. It’s made from High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is UV-protected and impact-resistant, perfect for the Pacific Northwest weather. I love how versatile the house is, there is a removable partition that way you get one big house instead of two sections. The roof opens and is propped up for easy access and cleaning. There’s also window vents on each side as well as a built in holder for a heating system. My favorite feature has got to be the side windows, I’ve been playing enrichment games with my husky where I throw in treats from the vent and watch him sniff around and find the treats. The only complaint I have is the installation of the house, it’s big and quite heavy. Make sure you have tools (screw driver, power drill) at home and a second set of hands to help. Overall this is a great dog house and would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for one!
