The Simpli Home media stand is a solid piece of furniture once constructed. The packaging of all the parts, instructions, etc is the best that I have seen. Everything is placed in the box by the manufacturer with a real thought to protecting everything during shipping. As such, there was no damage to anything. One small criticism is what one of the other reviewers mentioned in that some of the pre-drilled holes to attach the masonite back were a little off. If the person putting this media stand together has a little mechanical ability, just line up where you want to screws to land in the solid wood pieces and ignore the pre-drilled hole(s) in the masonite back pieces. An added bonus is the manufacturer includes several extra hardware pieces ... nice touch! I am very happy with my purchase and the look and overall quality of the stand.

This is a very solid piece of furniture. It comes in a lot of pieces, so unpacking and assembly takes several hours. The instructions were detailed and very helpful. The finished product turned out very nice and it will be enjoyed for years to come. I would recommend this item to a friend. Overall, this was a great purchase.

Beautiful and sturdy entertainment stand. Made arrangements to have it put together with its purchase. The person who did the job was pleasant and did a great job. Fast delivery; I couldn't be more pleased with this item. It is a heavy, sturdy pierce that should last for years.

This is a good stand for the price. I didn’t have any issues putting it together. Everything lined up. Some people mentioned that holes were not pre-drilled. You really can’t pre-drill a soft wood. In fact you’re really only have one chance to put the screws in. If you back it out, you probably need a wider screw. Hint: put the hinges on the cabinet first not the door. You can also identify the hinge holes better by applying the screw 1/3 in where they have them templated, then backing the screw out. Almost like pre-drilling. If the screw doesn’t seem to be going in tightly, use a thread locker. DO NOT over-tighten any of the screws. I also put a soft close on the doors and didn’t use the magnetic locks. I am putting my tv on the wall above the stand, so I can’t comment on the strength of the top shelf holding a TV. I would make sure the feet of the TV were as close to the end of the cabinet as possible. Hopefully it holds up over time. Update: Finally got everything together. Looks great.

Amazing quality!

I purchased this TV console for the living room and overall, am extremely pleased with my purchase. I have espresso-finish wood throughout my home and I have to say this piece has the absolute best finish and patina that I have ever seen, out of all of my furniture! It is simply stunning and well worth every cent I paid...although I do feel the piece was pricey. Still, I do not regret it one bit as this piece is 100% SOLID and sturdy wood which will undoubtedly last for a long time! Throughout my extremely difficult assembly, I bumped and dropped multiple components to the stand and nothing broke, bent, dented, or scratched - which to me also tells me this is not a "soft" solid wood, but true hardwood and once again, a million times over again worth the total price. The assembly, however, is another story. Absolutely awful and I wouldn't wish such a frustrating experience on anybody! The doors specifically, were a nightmare. Aside from that little irk though, this piece is magnificent. Ample storage, beautiful finish and design, as well as superb quality and functionality. Each piece and all hardware were even easily labeled and very user-friendly. I am even considering other pieces from this collection for my home because it was so well-made.
