Sturdy, well built lateral file cabinet

Purchased this file cabinet a while back, it’s very roomy, it’s been relocated twice and the two drawers still open and close very smoothly. You can place files front to back or side to side, depending on the type of rails you use. It also has a built in lock with key. This is a very sturdy well built file cabinet and I highly recommend it if you looking for a lateral two drawer cabinet.

Two drawer file cabinet

This cabinet is metal and very well made. I needed a sturdy 2 drawer file cabinet and this one comes fully assembled. Very heavy but very sturdy and exactly what I wanted.

Office Lateral Cabinet

I would recommend this lateral filing cabinet for an office or home office. The cabinet is a great size for office folders and storage. This cabinet fit into our decor nicely.

Just what you would find in an office

This is a very solid cabinet. Wasn’t an issue to put together. It’s absolutely what I wanted and is very functional with lock drawers. Just what you would see in an office. I owned mine for nearly two years and still love it.

I have owned many file cabinets during my 23 year career. This one is definitely worth the price for the quality you receive. The cabinet is very strong and well centered. It does not tip easily and satisfies my needs.

This is a great file cabinet. The charcoal color is very nice and the dark shade makes it blend into the background. If you have to keep paper files - at least have nice looking cabinets.

Perfect for what I needed. It fits in my second bedroom closet and is wide enough to accommadate my printer. I did not have to adjust it though this was probably luck on my part. Drawers slide open easily. Great deal for the money.

File cabinet is perfect for our needs. It is commercial quality, heavy and sturdy. The cabinet arrived with a small dent in the bottom front. It is not noticeable and doesn’t interfere with operation so we decided to keep it.

After 10 years of use, my Staples filing cabinet finally needed to be replaced. I had been looking from afar at purchasing a high end file cabinet but because of cost I had not taken the leap. All that changed with my purchase of the Alera Lateral File Cabinet. This is an amazing piece of office furniture. All Steel, very very heavy and finished off with a black powder-coat finish. It is exactly what I wanted an the price was absolutely unbelievable. I did get this on sale and I was lucky to find the value. One note about delivery for this item - at least in my area. It arrives via ground carrier and then is shifted again to a ground delivery company. Thanks Overstock for the call and reminder about the delivery. Bottom line - buy this file cabinet as it is $$s well spent.

I mean, it is a filing cabinet...so, yeah it looks like the image and this bad boy weighs 150 pounds! I was planning on taking it upstairs to my office and it ended up in my garage! I'm fine with that. I like that it is heavy duty, it is lateral, and it locks. It was delivered 3 days after I bought it! Super fast! Oddly, the delivery company did not call me ahead of time...luckily I was home when they delivered it. Also, they will not deliver it inside...so, think about where you are going to put this heavy monster before you buy it. I was surprised by the weight given it's small size.

Purchased for holding a copy machine in busy office. Perfect! We can store supplies and paper in the files. Very sturdy to hold heavy copier. Would highly recommend for similar use or just as a file cabinet as the door are very sturdy and deep.

Alera file cabinet, great value

The Alera two-drawer file cabinet is really a great value. It's solidly built, the drawers are really smooth in operation and extend fully to get a file folder in and out without having to bend it. It was also packed very well and had no damage when I received it.

This product came from overstock just as explained. The description was painted beautifully as I opened the package to see it resembled just as read. The product has showed no signs of defects to this point in time, and hoping that it continues to uphold it’s integrity.

Beautiful When it ARRIVED

Very Pleased with the purchase. I thought it was a little pricey, but it was worth it when I received it. It arrived earlier than expected and I am appreciative of that. Roomy, affordable and just what I was looking for. I use it in my craft room to store and organize cardstock and paper.

Solid Cabinet

This cabinet has been the best value-quality option I could get. Very solid, you can have letter/legal hanging files. For safety you can't open the 2 drawers at the same time, I like that because it prevents the cabinet flip over.
