1st, I will admit the couch is comfortable to sit on. Assuming it will be comfortable to sleep on as it is a Serta. BUT I am so disappointed in the color! The description states navy blue. The couch I received is bright royal blue, not at all what I wanted or ordered. I bought a smaller sleeper couch for a small room, thus the navy blue. This royal blue makes my room looks like a bordella. If I didn't have company coming, I'd definitely return it. I am now desperately looking for a slipcover.
This sleeper sofa is perfect for my living space. Small and compact. What I love about it the most is its design. You can partially open it and may it into a lounger, as seen in the second picture. When closed the seating area is a bit small and I am a petite woman.
I ordered the sofa in navy. The sofa delivered would more accurately be described as bright royal blue, a color which speaks very a very loud voice in a small room. The fabric was noticeably damaged [stained?] in several places on both the couch itself and the toss pillows. I won't be purchasing any upholstered furniture from Wayfair again, but rather. than go through a lengthy hassle to return this sofa, I will get a throw for the couch and covers for the toss pillows. Just hope that this sofa sleeper functions better than it looks. Ann
This pull out sofa is absolutely awful! I read all the reviews on here before purchasing and thought I was making the right decision. I needed something to put in my living room next to my husbands hospital bed. Not only it’s super uncomfortable to sleep on, it’s just as uncomfortable to sit on. Highly dissatisfied with the product. I called wayfair and being I ordered it past the 30 days was not offered any resolution. Buyer Beware!
I love the way this looks, it is beautiful and makes a great couch and day lounger. I was so excited to receive it and had many compliments given about it. I had it for about 3 weeks until someone slept on it and it turned out to be too firm to sleep on. I had to return it but I did not want to! If you are using this as a guest bed, it is very firm and will require a topper. I hate to return it because it looks so nice in my office but it can't be used in our family as a sleeper unfortunately. The quality is also top notch, just too firm.
Absolutely thrilled with this full size convertible sofa!! The navy blue is so stunning, the soft velvet fabric is so pretty!
This is perfect!!! If you're on the fence - just do it because it's well worth it. Wayfair's 'white glove' delivery was a breeze. They took less than 5 minutes to assemble and were right on time. This is too easy to convert between couch and bed. It's quite firm, so I bought a full sized memory foam topper (from Wayfair also) to make it a little more comfortable. My 6'3" brother and his 6 mo. pregnant wife slept 3 comfortable nights on it. The cat approves too!
Love this lil sofa bed-when-needed. It provides perfect accommodation for overnight guests. It's a bit hard as mattresses go, I've had no complaints from guests. Only issue is when in bed mode, the head end is slightly lower than center and foot section. One star off for that. It's like a double/full size. Best for 1 but fits a couple cozily. It doesn't sit against wall when upright in back. I don't love that - but I drape a blanket over to camoflauge. I tend to like less moderny look as I like in a cabin.
I bought the charcoal gray sofa for my home office/spare bedroom. I was a bit skeptical before placing my order despite reading excellent reviews. Suffice it to say the sofa has exceeded my expectations in terms of aesthetics and quality. The website photos don’t do it justice.
This is a beautiful, well made convertible sofa made by Serta(the mattress people). It’s firm but comfortable. I’m using it in a small den to watch television and have a spare bed for guests. I chose this one instead of many others because the ottoman/pullout is upholstered all the way around. It looks nice when left pulled out since we will be using it regularly. Other sofas like this were open on the sides and you could see the frame underneath. The back lies flat, making a full size bed. It came with white glove delivery included. The team brought it in the house, assembled it and hauled away all the packaging. They were professional, courteous and friendly. The sofa is perfect for my needs and I’m very happy with my purchase.
Excellent sofa very well made , easy to open & close. Great choice for small room or guest sleep over. Easy to move around. I am 6 ft. & fit comfortably when sofa is fully opened. We had narrow door opening with a built out cloths cupboard that restricts size of furniture in this bedroom/den . This sofa breaks down two 3 components that easily went back together after clearing short entrance way.
Buyer beware… although the pictures shown advertise a gray sofa and the description indicates charcoal when the sofa is in your home the actual color is a bluish gray. Please understand if you are looking for a charcoal gray do not purchase this sofa. It is a blue gray! I attempted to have the sofa sent back, however Wayfair is still charging me a return shipping fee because the pictures I sent show the same pictures as the description. I explained when you see it in person the color is not the same no matter how many pictures I send in it will show what you see in the description. So again, I say, if you are not looking for a bluish, gray sofa, do not purchase this item.
I want to provide a pretty holistic view of this couch and my experience with Wayfair. First, the pros
I love my new couch. It is just the right size for what I need. My sister brought one and went on and on telling me I should get one, and I am glad I did. It is the perfect fit for my small space in my office and sits nice and tall- you don't sink into it when you sit down. I have not tried it as a bed yet, because I have not had overnight company but when I do I know they will love it too. The delivery team was great very friendly and fast. I am VERY pleased with my purchase. My sister was absolutely right.
Just received today. It’s hard to buy furniture online without seeing and touching in person. I am not disappointed. I “browsed” for a month before buying this one.
It comes in a huge box, 2 delivery guys brought it to the office/guest room. It was packed well. Saw a dollop of glue on the seat, tried to scratch it loose with my finger, did pretty well, but someone packing must have seen it. It's not comfortable like big blocks of thick foam. I think it will loosen over time, but I'd be surprised if it would ever be comfortable. The material is ok, kinda feels like it's not fully a fabric, maybe paper mixed in. I don't think it would clean up well due to fabric make up. It's microfiber and really shows, you'll want to brush it from time to time. But we needed a bed couch to fit through the hallway and door and a place for our occasional guests to sleep so this fits the bill. Haven't slept on in but bought a foam topper and white cushioned topper also. It's a creative couch with a trunnel, not too big, not too small. I had purchased a previous couch, but it looked like it belonged in a kids room.
So far so good. Got some help to put it together - just cause it was to heavy for me - but was very easy to do. It fit through my old skinny doorways that are 27.5 inches wide before we put it together. It looks nice. I I am thinking I might have to get a storage ottoman to keep a mattress pad, sheets pillows, etc in for when it is used for guests. The room it is in is 130 inches x 100 inches and 90 inches high - so I needed something that would fit and still leave room to do other things in the room. A daybed that folded to into a queen would have been too big. This will still allow some room to get in and out the the "bed" when it functions as bed; and the full size bed will sleep two adults. As a couch/sofa it still allows the room to be used for other things. So far I am happy. It is easy to pull out a little from the wall (I have it right up against the wall, so the back won't go down til you pull it out a few inches), pull the back forward, it "unlaches" and then lays flat. Then pull out the base (it is on wheels) and lift the bottom "mattress" by lifting by the tabs. Just as easy to put way. The fabric appears like it will be easy to clean. Of course, this is prior to extended use so only time will tell. I haven't "made it like a bed yet - i.e. sheets and such, so I don't know how hard that is or how they stay tucked in when in use.
I bought the color Java and it's a dark brown tone with tan piping. The price was reasonable and a friend had already bought the gray Monroe for when her grand kids sleep over and gave it a thumbs up so I felt confident I would like it. I do mostly like it. I tested it but couldn't sleep on it for an entire night, way too firm. With a good quality 2 inch foam on top I felt comfortable the entire second night. Still firm but I slept fine. Another reason for not rating it 5 stars is that it's tall. It's necessary for me to put in front of a window and it blocks a lot of light from the only window in the room. Also, due to the design, it cannot be placed against the wall but must sit forward about 10 inches from the wall. The good thing is that the gap allows for the rolled up foam to nestle in that spot when not in use, there's a ledge to keep the foam up off of the floor. It is also very erect and the seat depth is a bit narrow. So the way I've made it work is to keep it partially open so that my legs can be up comfortably, like on a built in ottoman or a chaise. In that position it's just right and since it's in a spare bedroom it works to leave it partially open all the time (I have a tv in the room too). So it has 3 positions; sofa, sofa with ottoman, and sleeper. For the price, it was worth it for me to make these concessions. Also knowing that it will only be used as a sleeper a few times a year, I'm pretty sure it'll be fine for my guests. It seems like good quality, is petite for a queen sleeper and was easy to assemble so all in all I'm pretty happy with it.
Love this! Stalked it for weeks and when the price dropped, finally pulled the trigger. I did put this together alone (although still not sure how exactly-- this thing is a beast) but would not recommend it. It came all in one box and you can see from the photos, that box is sitting on a 5x7 rug. It comes partially assembled. The entire middle section is already put together and the arms come laying flat on the seat. To assemble, the arms slide onto the metal tabs shown in the picture but to do that, you have to lift and slide which is where two -three people would be handy. I rolled this one forward and rested the front on the floor, then slid on the arms and rolled it back down. Still probably a two person job given the weight of this thing but, as needs must.
