The "beige" is a bit darker than the photo online shows (but a bit lighter than my photo appears on the internet). This rug is more like a light ivory and a darker greyish beige/taupe color. It is tough to get a good picture and mine probably looks a littler darker than it really is. It has more of a modern feel than I would like though and the grey tones don't really match the warm ivory/beige tones of my bedroom. The thickness is about that of a bath mat which was perfect for what I was looking for. Looks well made. Update: This rug held up well washed in my machine with cold water and linen wash and line dried. Cleaned up really nice and did not warp at all! Wish they would make a rug like this in warm tones and more sizes.

I really like the rug, the colors. However, it's a lot thinner than I expected and wonder how it will hold up in our living room. My husband doesn't like it. But, I'm hoping he will over time. The white/cream is much more vibrant in the rug than the picture, which I hope won't end up showing dirt. Overall, I'm pleased...just leery how long it will last.
