Excellent walk in tub

Excellent tub. Needs more fixture finish options to match existing bathroom fixtures

My son in law installed it and he is very picky about how to pay attention to details. He said it was not a hard project, but I know he’s just telling me that. However the tub was exactly what was described in the video and ad. I’m extremely pleased with how it works. I could not use a regular type tub due to my age and afraid I would not be able to get out without help. This tub has changed all that . I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a walk in safety tub.

week pressure for the jets

I have to agree with the comments above, the jets are week and that's a real problem if you want a massage while you take a bath. I found after doing some research at https://trustedcompanyreviews.com/top-ten/best-walk-in-baths/, that certain walk in tub brands, like Meditub, offer to upgrade the strength of the jets from the standard 1 horsepower to 1.5 horsepower, for those people who prefer strong massages. Meditub charges 250 for this upgrade, according to the review.

Could not be any more Disappointed

I don’t think I could be any more Disappointed! This tub is nothing like what I thought I was purchasing! The in the description of what it offers, there are many inaccurate statements, some are just not true. It is a poorly thought-out engineering design. Only 4 of the (13) jets are somewhat adjustable (on/off, directional), changing the water pressure is not an available adjustment. While the bubbler does have 3 speeds, the difference between them is barely noticeable. Due to the completely too large foot area (28” X 25”), filling the tub takes an incredibly long time. Advertised with “premium fast-fill faucet, really! Not sure about you, but I don’t like sitting in a cold tub, for over six minutes, before I even have water (only) up to my knees. Another more than six minutes until it’s up to my rib cage (more on this later). And in case you’re wondering, we do have good water pressure. Our old tub filled completely full in 4 minutes.

Could not be any more Disappointed

Many inaccurate statements, poor design. 4 of the jets are adjustable (on/off, directional), water pressure not adjustable. 10+ minutes to fill. Seating too high for soaking. The 6 (back) jets, low water pressure, not adjustable. Quick Drain Control water out “within 2 minutes” (NOT) leaves 4” of water to manually drain to door. It apparently has a heater no settings or controls. “Control Type / Electronic touch pad”, where? Not purchased, if seen it or accurate description.

Great width

Love this tub, can not wait to use it... Delivery was good and product was package for the least amount of damage. American Standard knows how to ship their product.

COSTS TOO MUCH!

costs too much for what it is! too many plugs requiring excessive electrical hook up (electricians complaint), floor is not anti slip, 'neckpad' doesint fit properly, no safety lock on the door, requires a LOT of water flow! if you dont have at least 75gal water heater you'll need one, and a 'Rinnai' style tankless water heater will not work unless your somewhere around sea-level. this is over an $18,000 investment! Had to RE-install my old water heater (40gal) to feed the tub and have adequate water pressure, the Rinnai picks up the slack, it only could produce 3.8GPM at 120deg, tub takes around 60+gal to fill with a person in it.

Awesome Tub!

We purchased and installed this tub for a military Veteran who is double leg amputee that has struggled with having safe access to his traditional tub. A roll-in shower was not a great solution for him due to his condition. He loves the tub and the different options as to water flow, heat and the big winner are the LED lighting settings. He told me that he can safely get in and out and the tub has truly changed his life and his ability to remain independent.

We bought this because my wife cannot get in a regular shower-tub combo. She has used it twice now in the week since it's been installed and loves it. Her sister-in-law has a different brand tub and tried to discourage her from buying any walk-in tub because of her tub taking forever to fill and drain. The fact that this one has 3/4 inch supply lines and a pump on the drain makes the wait times on this one very tolerable. It takes probably 10 minutes to fill and 3 minutes to drain. You can even turn on the footwell jets only before the tub is full to massage your feet and legs. Another feature that may sound useless is the one that turns on another pump maybe 10 minutes after draining the tub to blow out all the water still left in the jet and air lines. We also have a whirlpool tub-shower combo that if not used ofter spits out black stuff from the jets.

I ordered this on November 27, 2018. It took time to find a qualified plumber who had experience installing these tubs, but I wanted it done correctly. It was installed March 18, 2019. So far I am happy with the tub. My wife and I can just shower if we are in a hurry or relax in what has turned out to be an in-home spa. Very pleased.

Faucets and hardware came with no instructions also holes had to be drilled in acrylic to install them. Didn't come with template for hole placement either. Home Depot quoted me 14000 dollars for install. I had it done by local business for 2500.

Not yet fully installed. The single document covering multiple models was difficult for the tradesmen to navigate. The ordering process confused me; as a result, I have no end trim panel, which I would have preferred to building an end wall.
