Grill pan
Love this grill pan. It’s the great quality you would expect from Lodge. However, I just wish the pan was taller. Had some oil popping all over the stove cause the edges was short
Worth the price for what you always need
The pan is exactly what i needed just remember to care properly for your cast iron it is a bit much to care when washing and cleaning but worth the desired outcome. I use this for cooking where a grill isnt able to be used so I am happy I can somewhat "grill" things while not able to actually use a grill in my complex.
Non stick. Perfect
My husband loves this skillet. The minute it arrived he used it the same night. LOL.
I love this. It grilled pork steaks perfectly. Gets really hot and good marks. After I just rinse off residue and lightly sponge with detergent. Then dry well and oil with paper towel.
[Rewarded Review] love those grill marks
very very heavy, wanted to hang it on the wall but may have to rethink that. Otherwise these pans can be even used over a fire outside. I have several different cast iron items. Had for decades.. By the way, using one means extra iron in your diet!
Great product
I’ve wanted a food cast iron grill pan,
Pan itself is great, but the handle is a problem
The grill pan is great for cooking on the stove top. I like to give meat a nice quick sear and pop the whole thing in the oven.
rust after each wash
After each use and washing the pan rust would form. I have had multple griddle pans and never before did rust form. The griddle interior is too high and does not cook well. This is an inferious product, price represents quality here.I returned. I would not recommend this product.
Would have returned it but I didn’t think they would believe I haven’t even used it. I washed it to try it for the first time and it looked like it was used for a year. It was so gross how it looked that I didn’t even want to use it. Don’t have pictures because I threw it away was scared to even use it.
No other name for Cast iron products
My Family likes the Lodge products. because of the quality and finish.
LODGE IS FIRST STRING ON MY STOVE NOW!
i bought this skillet many years ago form my local walmart.
Worth it for the price. Very good alternative to enjoying samgyupsal, instead of the usual nonstick grills. Just place it on an induction stove on top of your dinner table and it really does feel like we were eating samgyupsal in a restaurant. Very nice non stick property once you season it with a bit of oil before using. Just a bit heavy. Good job to Lazada for always notifying when the product will arrive.
I never thought I would use this as much as I do! I purchased it from Costco and now use it several times a week. We leave it on top of the cooktop since it is very heavy. Since we live in New England we don't use our outdoor grill from October through April so this takes the place. We grill steaks, pork, chicken, fish and veggies. Cleanup is a breeze. Soak for a few minutes and clean with a stiff brush. No soap. You don't want to remove the seasoned layer.
Awesome!
Love it! My meats come out juicy and full of flavor. Ensure you follow cleaning directions. I seen comments on various sights regarding rusting. I have now used mine several times and no rusting. I wash after every used, dry with a cloth, set in stove with fire in low to finish drying, than spray with olive oil. Looks like new every time. Ensure you wash within a hour or so after use. Do not allow food to sit in pan over night.
I’m so happy with the durability of this skillet. It’s hard to find cast iron as good as the older ones. This is shockingly great. It’s great for grilling meat, biscuits, and cornbread. The coating has not deteriorated whatsoever. It’s just as good as my grandmother used. Just DONT wash it in the dishwasher or with soap. I just wipe it down with water and then place it in the oven to dry. Water is the enemy of cast iron, you must dry thoroughly.
Great Grilling Pan
I purchased via online and picked it up at my local Target store. The pan is quite heavier then what I was expecting. Due to the heaviness some may need to lift the pan with both hands. However, it did an amazing job at grilling my chicken breast. The chicken had beautiful grill lines and it was moist and tender. The company provides an excellent little video here on Target’s website and app on how to use their pan to get the perfect grilled chicken.
When I was a young girl I was taught to cook on and care for cast iron by my grandmother. Her cookware was handed down to my mother, who was not a cook and eventually disappeared. I was thrilled to get the Lodge Cast Iron Grill Pan. Having previously used these quality products that can go from the stovetop to oven to grill to campfire, I know how amazingly delicious and healthier my meals are going to be. Yeah, there's a little extra effort involved but trust me, some things are worth it, once you learn how to cook on cast iron.
Not a good buy, go for the grill/griddle
Inadequate for anything other than a plain steak. Difficult to get a spatula under anything, especially between the walls. It's cast iron, so you can't clean it with anything other than chain-mail, which is difficult to get between the grill marks. Seasoning it is also difficult because the depth of the walls and the odd angles you're forced to wedge a towel between: be careful not to get burned. don't go for this, go for the lodge cast iron griddle with grill on the opposite side. That's what I'm going to get next.
Treat it right and it wont rust
The reviews regarding rust is comical. It’s iron....if you leave any amount of moisture it will rust. And yes it is heavy because it’s made out of iron. This is a great pan and lodge is affordable, made in the USA, and wonderful! Do your research on how to use it and you will be loyal to it. Tips...preheat pan in oven or stove top. When you clean it with water, take it back to the stove top and let the water evaporate so IT WONT RUST. then once it’s hot, put a very thin coat of oil on it and let it heat up for a little. Do your research, there are plenary of tips. Don’t give up so easily and don’t expect it to not rust when you leave water on IRON.
This pan was given to my husband and I as a wedding gift 6 years ago. We use it almost if not always in our kitchen. Heats evenly over gas burners on our stove, in our gas oven, cooks evenly, and cleaning up is a breeze (I scrape it with the Lodge cleaning brush while running it under hit eater, then sit it on a burner turned to low heat for 20 minutes to dry it). After cleaning it, I rub it with shortening and back onto for 10 minutes. That's it. This pan will outlive me, hubby and probably any kids we may have with these simple cleaning and conditioning steps, and just improve with age.
