Poor quality!

Very poor quality! I've make alot of felt stocking and tree skirts.The stamping is terrible, can't make out the numbers they are all smeared together on the skirt and peices. The back of the skirt has smeared white patches of stamping ink all over it. And the green pieces have black patches on the back that slightly show thru on the front!Very disappointing!

I have done many tree skirts and stockings and have always purchased the Bucilla brand and been happy until now. I agree with all the other negative comments, the poor quality floss, thin felt, and one thing to add is i am running out of sequins and beads. The sequins were of such poor quality some i am unable to use. This is only my second time ordering from this company and I am still waiting for a response on an email that was sent last week.

After working with Bucilla products for decades, I have found none better! Besides the high quality of their materials, their designs are ingenious and adorable.

Needs some fine tuning

I would agree with some of the other reviews - some of the felt pieces were thin in spots and the red felt stamped areas were hard to see. The stamped areas on the skirt itself were too dark where the skirt needed to be cut. I know not everybody cuts it, but for those who do, The stamping could be lighter in this area. Since nothing is being added there, the stamp shows up and it is hard to remove without making the felt look fuzzy and worn. I am adding a backing to protect the stitching. It would be helpful to have instructions on how to do this on the website. I have received many compliments on it. It is a beautiful piece that took me around 100 hours to put together.

I love working on Bucilla kits. Have done many over the years. I continue to find sewing instruction errors as well as being shorted on thread. Last Advent Calendar I finished had a bad stamping error on piece #33.

Poor quality material

I have made several Bucilla stockings over the past 35 years for family. This kit is the worst that I have ever had. The quality of the felt is poor, very thin in places on some pieces. The embroidery floss was also poor quality and often broke with minimal manipulation. I will have to add backing to this tree skirt so that it will hold up over time. The instructions were also sometimes very confusing and not detailed enough. I was so disappointed. The quality has been so much better in the past.

This Tree Skirt has no Backing

I just received the kit in the mail yesterday. I will be working on this starting in January.One disturbing thing is this tree skirt has no backing. That will affect the structural integrity of this item. I will need to go to a fabric store and purchase a backing.The pattern goes all the way around, which is nice. These are my only comments thus far but I am very disappointed in the lack of a backing. The stockings take a hundred hours to make (or seems so to me). This skirt will be very labor intensive and the manufacturer should ensure that the finished product ensures structural integrity.
