Do not paint! They did not paint well, as a matter of fact, they bubble up with paint.

Okay so it’s definitely styrofoam and looks like styrofoam straight out the box. However, painting it does wonders. I chose to paint the tiles with a brush which gave the tiles a plaster look. I’m very pleased with how they look and can’t wait to put them on my ceiling.

This is our third style

This is our third style of ceiling tile we have purchased...our home was built in 1898 and is one of the historic homes in our city. We have had many people come through our home to see how the renovation are going...they all thought the tiles were plaster and original to the home! We will be purchasing more as we renovate more rooms!

These turned out so great! Easy installation and you cannot tell that they are made of polystyrene. I was afraid they would look cheap--they don't! I used liquid nails to put them up which worked great; I would recommend using a clear glue whatever you use. There are spots where I can see the brownish liquid nails at the seams.

I love these ceiling tiles! They are easy to cut with a box cutter and install with an adhesive (I used Lock tight power grab) A contractor was in my house doing a bid for a bathroom remodel and actually took pictures of what I was doing because he thought it looked so good. This was an easy upgrade and I did it by myself. Totally recommend!
