The Lutron MA-R-GR works perfectly with the MACL-153M-GR dimmer.

I returned the item to the store. I purchased the wrong one.

Current version of the companion dimmer

This is the current version of the Lutron Maestro companion dimmer. I previously bought an older version that does not have screw terminals but has four wires coming out the back which requires connection with wire nuts; the old version is also deeper. I prefer this newer version: less wires and fits better. The price was very reasonable was received quickly.

I am very familiar with household electrical devices, so this worked great for me. I'm also a big fan of the Maestro series because they are so customizable. This companion dimmer works wonderfully with Lutron MACL-153M.

Worked as advertised. Wiring is a little more complicated than the instructions indicate if using switch for more than 3 way switching. Also, while it may say that you need the companion switches, you CANNOT have more than one Maestro switch in your circuit as then all the Maestro switches will want to be the master switch and your lights will not work.

I got the item quick and in great condition. Website was easy to use and ordering was fast.

Junk!

Go with Eaton. Just doesnt work. Even had my friend who’s a certifed electrician said it was junk. I read a lot of reviews to find out that it is a common problem with this style of switch from Luton.

Excellent LED Dimmer

We have these manufacturer for all dimmers in the house.We have been moving to all LED lights as appropriate and these dimmers work very well. We like the dimmer control and the memory to what it was set before. Once set you can always rely it returns to the same lighting preference.Highly recommend.
