Love this chair however, the front and back levers are extremely difficult to lower into place. Used a hammer but didn’t work. Finally had to resort to someone putting pressure on the arms while someone else hammered the levers into place. Why do you have to make this process so difficult?

Perfect chair for additional seating on the deck or inside! So tired of plastic furniture that doesn't last. I used director's chairs years ago and was super pleased to find your website!

One came with crack

I am a first time OVERSTOCK customer. I ordered (4) of these chairs. They came just as ordered, however, one of the chairs had a long crack in the woodwork. I am investigating the process of return and replacement.

Pretty, but defective

I bought two of these. It looks beautiful but I had to sit on the canvas for a few days and then really push down to secure lock it into place with a shoe. I should be able to open and close easily. Now that I have it opened and locked, I don't dare to close it again. As for the other one, it had the same problem. On top of that, the canvas wood didn't fit into the groove on one side. I was too lazy to return and I really wanted to make it work so I used a knife to open the groove. It's annoying I had to do all this when it should just fit.

I was very disappointed in the construction of this item. the screws that held in the rubber protectors on the bottom of the legs protruded beyond the protectors and severely damaged my laminate flooring which I now have to spend money to repair. This one was a real dog....

These chairs were exactly as pictures, or perhaps even better. At this price point, I was concerned that the construction might be sub-par, or poorly designed. I was pleasantly surprised - hardware was substantial, finish was excellent, and the chairs have a firm, sturdy feel when folding and opening. The canvas covers are easily removable for cleaning, and also come in a wide variety of colors if you wish to replace them. I plan to use them on my boat, but they would work equally as well as deck chairs at home. Highly recommended!

Director's Chair

This chair is awesome. I purchased for my husband who uses it when camping with friends. One of his friends broke is other chair and it took years to find this one. I was so lucky to come across it on overstock. Great chair and comfortable.

I needed a chair that was higher than a typical chair that could easily be put together and taken apart as well as fit in the back of my car for transport. This high director’s chair does all of those things plus it looks very nice. My son put it together in less than ten minutes. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of the foot rest which attaches to the legs of the chair. The foot rest is very narrow and is tucked in under the seat so your heal is the only thing you can put on the foot rest. Think about it. When you sit at a barstool or a higher chair, there usually is a foot rest on the chair that comes out from the seat so that your feet and legs are in a comfortable position. The foot rest on this chair is tucked in so your legs have to be tucked in under the seat of the chair too. I need to sit on this chair for long periods of time so I have to somehow make that foot rest bigger so that it will come out from under the chair or bring an ottoman with me to support my feet. The canvas is a nice material and the frame seems pretty sturdy. Even with the foot rest problem, I’m keeping this high director’s chair because it comes apart and folds up for traveling. Less

Quality Directors Chairs

I was afraid that my purchase of the "Extra-Wide 18"Directors Chairs" would be too wide to fit me and my husband's average build, however, they are perfect and no wider than the 10-year-old chairs that I was replacing. The quality of the frame (Mission Oak color) is substantial and the color is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased with the natural canvas covers that I chose, and I am certain that chairs of this quality will last many years. Thank you for a wonderful product and faster than expected delivery.

There's nothing cheap about this sturdy director's chair. The black fabric is very fashionable. We used two of these to stage our yacht for sale. Every potential buyer wanted the boat AND these director's chairs. Thank you, American Trails for your attention to detail.

Love this chair we decided to have these chairs instead of regular kitchen chairs. They go great with our wood kitchen table and are so very comfortable. Our table is partially in the living room area, so it matches with our living room well. I would highly recommend these chairs. Also they can be washed to keep neat and clean.

The ultimate director’s chair

I never realized how a director’s chair could be so comfortable and as well made as this one. . . . . I have learned quickly that you can order a cheap director’s chair at 50$-70$ ... and the quality is far from ... (no comments). . . . . I am 120% happy with my order. . . . . Only one side of the arm chair was chipped. I don’t have time to return anything I order online. The chipped part is not enough visible for me to made a deal out of it. . . . . I am happy! Yes, I would definitely buy these chairs again.

These beautiful chairs are being used on our new screened porch. They are not only practical, easy to use and store but my husband likes the fact that they fit very well with our large, square table that we use for meals. The chairs seem to be well made but time will tell. My only complaint is that they were delivered sooner than expected; no one was home and we had a tropical storm pouring rain on the boxes for 2 days. Needless to say the boxes fell apart when I tried to move them; however, fortunately, the chairs themselves were wrapped in plastic, otherwise it would have been catastrophic! Hopefully Hayneedle will be more aware of their delivery dates when giving them to the customer.

I use this chair for my work. Sit in it several hours per day. Comfortable and light. Easy to move around. Does not scratch the floor because of the plastic pads on the legs. It was delivered earlier than promised, in perfect condition and so easy to assemble. #sweepstakes

Great chairs

Was looking for foldable dining chairs that i could store under my bed. They are super sturdy and extra wide for my 'fuller' friends. Super easy to install canvas covers. Also comes with great caps on legs to keep from scratching wood floors.
