SIZE does matter!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors and since I needed something a bit shorter in "shag", so happy that I did opt for the rug pad as it just gives it a bit more comfort. See...my dog destroyed the previous 9x12 by pulling out (and digesting) a patch about 8" round of the 1/2" "shag". UGH, needed a great rug that I knew would hold up and I have always loved this brand...too many beautiful options BUT I did finally find a new "9x12" for the area...or so I thought!!! The one thing I am not happy about is the size. I ordered the 9x12 and I understand that it may vary some BUT not a full 5" in difference!!! The rug is actually 8.5x12'1" and that makes a difference!! As OCD as I am, the return/exchange shipping rate is not worth the fuss. I do not have a photo of previous rug with the EXACT furniture set-up & distance from the TV stand; front legs of the recliners sitting fully on the rug as well as the side table! So here is a photo of the new rug with the same set-up as before :( If this color option (grey/turquoise) becomes available in the 10x14 or 12x15, I'd consider exchanging but those options are only available in the ivory/multi. I DO like the ivory option but bought the grey as it has a touch of magenta and will show less traffic. SOOO...unless the price drops more on the ivory option; or my OCD gets the better of me, I will have to learn to live with it and just move things back as they shift from use :(

Rug May Require Professional Cleaning

The gray version of this runner is close to the photo, but the multi-colored rug in Ivory may show more pops of color. The gray was chosen for its use in a kitchen where spills may be less noticeable until cleaned. However, the back of the rug states to remove spills immediately, to blot liquid spills and that professional cleaning may be necessary. "Kid and pet friendly" may not mean kitchen friendly. Had this cleaning statement been in the listing, I would not have chosen it. I like it and may use it in a hall instead. It is in a new kitchen which will has white, gray and turquoise colors. It is comfortable to stand on, but not as cushioned as some kitchen rugs are. This rug lays flat except for one corner which will get some rug tape.

Beware if rug dimensions are important

They are terrible with sending accurate measurements. If the measurements you are ordering are important, then you might want to reconsider ordering from this company. Example, I ordered a 9'x9' area rug, 3 matching runners and the padding for underneath. Very important for the area rug to be 9'x9' because one of the runners had to line up and butt up to it. When I received it the label on the back of the carpet said 9'x9'. Great, but when I rolled it out it was only 8'x5". 7" too short! Not even close! I went through the pain of sending it back and waiting for a replacement asking Overstock if they could add a note to it requesting they double check the dimensions to make sure it was at least 9'x9' very important! When I finally received the replacement and rolled it out it was 8'x5". 7" too short again!! What a joke! Because of their stupidity they lost the whole order! I had to send the area rug, three matching runners and the padding that goes under them all back. What a shame! I guess the money doesn't matter to Overstock nor the manufacturer? Such a simple thing to correct. Maybe they don't know how to read a ruler? Very disappointed with Overstock! I even became a ClubO member but now I'm afraid to order from them.

I have been making purchases on Overstock since February furnishing and designing my new home and I have to say, I am never disappointed. Buying online is always a risk, you never really know if the item purchased would be like what you've seen online. I am always thrilled with all items I've purchase thus far. My latest is this rug for the dining area, I love Safavieh rugs, and I know first hand about the quality and beauty of these rugs because I used to work at Safavieh and I trust their rugs in my home and they have held up beautifully. I chose the ivory because I love the brightness of the colors and the pop of oranges since I have a centerpiece on the table made up of Orange flowers. I was a bit disappointed I hoped it would be brighter but it's more muted, I thought I received the wrong color, then I read the receipt on the package it was indeed the ivory not the gray, it worked well with my other rug in the same space. I am really happy with my purchase with O. Thanks Overstock for furnishings and accessorizing my home.

Looks great and VERY Pet and kid friendly

This rug looks exactly as shown. I love the colors and even my picky husband liked it. We had a black rug prior and 2 short-haired dogs. Our male sheds so bad, I had to vacuum every day and it still did not look clean. I thought a lighter-colored rug would help. This rug is light enough that the dog hair does not show, but dark enough all the foot traffic from teenagers will not show either. Perfect combination. As you can see, there is a dog bed right next to the rug and clearly, the rug is preferred:) I love overstock and will be buying another bigger rug for my kitchen. The price is amazing as well and shipping was fast!

Definitely a SW feel over an abstract

The Look: Southwestern Buyer should be aware that though this is "abstract" it certainly has the look/feel and flair of a Southwestern decor piece. Quality: The edging on the corners is a little subpar in consistency of the "wrapping" around the rest. Almost a little threadbare so it looks worn, right out of the packaging. However, the rest is very decent and has a nice feel. Because of the SW feel, I initiated a return. The prepaid label was $***. Clearly not worth the time and effort to send back. I acknowledge i dont have an O annual account but I shipped a previous selection back to a competitor for $** (9x12 rug). For this reason alone, I may consider other retailers above O for larger items. Ultimately, I will keep the rug and place it somewhere else where it will be mostly covered by furniture and not stick out like a sore thumb.
