Good headboard for a fair price. Decent quality. Nice color. Fairly easy to put together and attached easily to bed frame.

Headboard arrived quickly and fit bed frame perfectly. Did have a strong odor initially but that dissipated fairly quickly. The headboard I replaced stood a little taller than this one but overall very pleased with price and quality. Assembly was easy but required 2 people when attaching to bed frame.

The headboard is as described and what I wanted. The problem is that one leg was missing the metal threaded inserts to mount it to the bed frame. AFI sent new legs quickly but they could have done better checking the part before putting it in the box. Otherwise I’m happy with it.

I wouldn't give this product 1 star. The joint on one side of the headboard is not flush plus there is a scratch. The drill holes where you are suppose to install a screw is at the angle and the hole where you are suppose to insert the Barrel nut is too deep so there is no way you are able to align it and screw the JCB screw. VERY VERY UNHAPPY!!!!

The quality was very poor. The wood pieces weren’t put together well and not even close to seamless. Would not recommend.

Very pleased with AFI Madison Walnut King Headboard. It exceeded my expectations. I would reccomend this unit to anyone wanting an expensive looking unit without the expense.

shoddy craftsmanship

While this is solid, its made very poorly. Unfortunately, I needed to make it work. I have some stain that will hopefully hide all of the flaws. Screws holes on legs dont match up either. I had to drill a new whole. Do not buy this

Attractive looking and very good value. One of the pre-drilled holes was not correctly done or the finish dripped into it which required me to file out the debris with a round file. Also the instructions did not specify what order the washer, and locking washer were to be used when attaching the headboard to the bedframe. Overall I would buy it again,

Color on the headboard is nice and looks like the picture. No dents or scratches on it. Easy to put together but one essential bolt was missing. We had to make a trip to the store before we could finish it.

We were blown away by how beautifully this headboard coordinated with other bedroom furniture. There was a lot of discussion on the website about whether the stain was more cherry or more brown. I can tell you it is a reddish brown which was exactly what we were looking for. It was packaged carefully, so no dings; and we received it earlier than had been predicted. Plus, it was quite a bit less at Home Depot than at other stores; AND, if we had wanted to return it, it was just a short trip to our neighborhood Home Depot.

OK for the money but cheaply made. I can see the seams in the wood where pieces were glued together so they really aren't one piece of wood. The bolts that hold the sides to the back are not hidden, I can see the bolt heads. Kind of tacky. If you are looking for a nice piece of furniture, look elsewhere.

Great quality, especially for the price. It was solid wood and well made. It was very easy to assemble, only took me about 5-10 minutes. Instructions were a little difficult at first but I quickly figured out what needed to be done. (No worse than other assemble yourself furniture.) I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again!

Was worried about some of the reviews citing defects/breaks upon receiving, but went ahead and purchased this full headboard to go with my San Mateo bedroom furniture collection. It was delivered in perfect condition. The headboard is lightweight, but is made of solid wood. It has little bit of red undertones in certain light, but very acceptable for me, and I am picky. Must have independent bed rails with hooks in order to work!

Nice-looking headboard! I know I didn’t pay a lot for it so I guess I can’t expect it to be made from solid wood material! The panels in the middle are very thin, but it’s still a nice piece. It’s just for me, anyway! ☺️

You can certainly give me a Credit on my Credit Card for the Price Drop. That may help me feel more like a valued customer. Like many reviews, the price was decent, but, there were cracks in the 3 boards that my husband applied Wood Glue to. Being the Dark [Amear], one of the panels had the paint finish cracked along the whole lower edge of the panel and you could see the unfinished wood product. I will have to paint /correct that before I use it in my spare bedroom. I was just disppointed in the quality.

Beautiful Headboard!

This is a beautiful headboard! The color is a bit deeper than what it shows online (I think it's just the lighting used for the picture), but that made it all the prettier! It's very well constructed. It assembled easily (only 3 pieces) and attached quickly to my metal bedframe. I couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend it! Absolutely love it!

Really like the darker color and the simple design. Hate that it arrived scratched and broken. It wasn’t damaged in shipment the cracks were stained over. Poor craftsmanship, but keeping since it would be a hassle to return. Reached out to the company to no avail.

Decent quality. Unless you look closely, it looks more expensive than it was. Perfect for a seldom used guestroom. Took more than a few minutes to wrestle the hardware into place. Assembly took 2 people with one holding pieces together while the other attached the hardware.
