This bed is super sturdy and gorgeous! Best bed I've ever owned. It does require a low profile box spring. I'm very happy with this purchase...and so is my cat.

This is the nicest bed frame I have ever owned. It is very sturdy and comes in such a nice color! It does ship through a logistics company so the shipping does take a lot longer than expected and it does come in three boxes however, I would definitely recommend this frame if you're in the market for a wooden canopy like I was!

Our client wanted a statement piece in their master suite-this bed fit the bill! It is beautifully made and adds just enough drama to the room without being overwhelming. The master suite was very large and needed something with presence. This does not disappoint.

Sturdy frame, beautiful color.

What a nice bed frame! It arrived in 3 boxes and it wasn't too hard to put together even though it came with minimal instructions.

Completely awesome! I was able to build it myself, but wouldn't recommend it if at all possible. Unless you have a huge bedroom I'd also suggest removing it from the boxes and carrying it up as there are 3 boxes and that's a lot of trash to build around. Color is a deep brown, and while the building instructions leave a lot to be desired, it's completely worth it once finished.

This bed is gorgeous! I am so pleased with my purchase once we got it put together. However putting it together was another story! The instructions were not detailed. It's basically a picture and an index of all the pieces with arrows where they go. My husbands pretty savvy so we had it all done in about 1.5 hours. But the finished product was worth some headache over instructions.

This is a very beautifully, well-made wooden bed from Vietnam. It looks like brown with grey undertones in the photo but it is a very deep, dark brown in person. We purchased the whole Abington set and are very pleased with the quality. The wood is heavy and comes shipped in a few boxes that you have to put together (i believe it's an additional cost to have it delivered and put together ). The foot of the frame has a very slight difference from the top and the bottom, so you have to look carefully so as not to affix it upside down. We purchased sheer white curtains for the poster frame and it adds a touch of chic luxury to the room. The bed is the centerpiece to our room and everyone is in awe when they see it. I would absolutely recommend this whole set to anyone who is searching for quality.

Ordered this bed for our new home in Mar 2018. It arrived via a local freight company well-packaged and in great condition. The fit and finish of this bed is excellent - solid wood that looks great. Assembly instructions are not step-by-step but assuming you've put together basic furniture before, it will not be an issue...maybe an hour for assembly. The only note I would add is that while the pictures make this appear to be a grey color, it most definitely is way more brown than grey.

Pictures don't do this bed justice, its gorgeous. Ordered approx 6 weeks prior to our move in to a new home. We hoped we'd get the bed prior to the move and we were pleasantly surprised. Shipping took approx 3-4 weeks, and arrived in multiple boxes. Packaging was good, however, the large headboard box was indeed punctured when it arrived (likely a forklift puncture). A quick call to Overstock and we were able to work out a resolution within a few days. The Color is true to the original picture. A nice, deep, mocha brown. The metal is indeed black with no additional distressing to it. We assembled the bed in approx an hour ~ with two people. Trying to put this together with just one person is nearly impossible and something I wouldn't try and do. All the parts were within the box, with no missing pieces. The only con I can think of was the fact that we use an adjustable platform bed ~ therefore, we have no need for the slats that come with the bed. For our platform bed to fit, we had to unscrew the side rails to allow the platform to rest on the floor entirely. These side rails are both screwed and glued ~ They were essentially never manufactured to be removed. With that said ~ They can be with appropriate tools. For most, this isn't an issue ~ just a side note. Overall ~ We are VERY pleased with this bed. Magnussen ships these babies in pretty good packaging and Overstock has top class customer service. We ended up purchasing other pieces in this set as well and we are pleased with the entire collection. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bed to a friend!

A+ Quality and Style

This item very much meets expectations as it has a very solid feel and is finished beautifully. It was packed with serious care and arrived in perfect shape. We truly love it. Rating would have been 5 stars if the directions were better. You basically get a black/white picture of finished product with about 5 smaller pictures and it takes a really long time to figure it out. None of the parts are labeled.
