Missing Parts

I can't believe it took me two weeks to get it, then when I finally get it ( excited to finally have it after waiting for 2 long weeks )

Very poor delivery.

My weight bench was delivered to my neighbors house. Poor man can barely walk. It was already dark and I can tell, he struggled to get to my house. Why didn't the delivery person call me, if he couldn't find my house. Very disappointing!

Weight bench

Exactly what I was looking for. Price was good. Fits perfectly in the room. Instructions to put together were pretty easy to follow. Would recommend to a friend.

Standard weight bench with attachments Standard weight bench with attachments

Heavy duty bench with add ons. Seems well constructed and easy assembly. Just what I need. First one I received had incorrect part but seller replaced with out issue.

Came packed nicely. Sturdy and well-built. Assembly is lengthy but has good instruction. Like a previous rater said, the pad is too narrow for comfort. Also, the weight rack is a little too low. The main problem is with the upper leg curl on the front. Can't figure out how to lay on stomach to use it.

OK if 5'6"/135lbs or less, moderate weights

The weight bench is just able to accommodate my size (I am 5'6" and 135 lbs.). If you are bigger than that, good luck. The construction is solid enough for my purposes; I am not trying to lift heavy weights. The butterfly arms "catch" on the upright legs that support the barbell bar. I used metal washers to modify the butterfly arms to gain adequate clearance of the upright legs. Your barbell bar will need to be one that allows you to place weights at whatever width will clear the upright barbell-support legs. Leg extension area is fine. Ditto curls using the preacher curl. The bench you lay on for lifting is a little narrow, but adequate for the uses I have described above.

Good , or Better

Adequate

Assembly was quick and easy. My only complaints are the following:

Awkward and uncomfortable

Pretty easy to assemble but the nuts, bolts and washers were askew in the shrinkwrap. Using the bench can be awkward. The butterfly doesn't work like a true butterfly and I thought we had assembled it wrong. Double checked and we assembled correctly- it just is very clumsy and doesn't work the muscles a true butterfly does. The arm curl causes your wrists to bend more than they should. Wish I had spent the extra money for a nicer machine.

Great for Budget Home Gym Set Up !

This is a great bench to keep you from having to pay gym membership fees ! Good if you want your own small home gym set up. It is a sturdy piece of equipment pretty solid. It holds plenty of weight to workout with. I have 100% Iron weights on it. The preacher curl is my favorite and bench pressing. The butterfly needs better screws put in it you have to purchase more from the hardware store. The butterfly screws bend when you put like 25 lbs on them and workout. That is the only thing that is cheap on this set up. But over all a great value ! Now to add a Weider total body works along with this then I will have a Complete Body Building gym set at home !! Free weight training and cable fly training together and will not break the bank !! WOW !!

Great for an Average Lifter

In my younger days I would have been looking for much more. Now this is great for me. Go to a hardware store and buy Grade 8 bolts for the butterfly if you are seriously going to do the excersize, and I recommend lock tight on the bolts you want to stay tightened. Some bigger guys might not be comfortable on this bench but for the average size guy it's fine. I am very happy with the bench and I am happy with the durability and quality of the product.

Sturdy bench at a great value.

After reading the reviews I was a bit weary about ordering this product being a taller male - 6'2 and a lot of the reviews talked about it not being fit for taller people but after using the product I can say I have ABSOLUTELY NO TROUBLE using this bench or any components. Only took me about 45 mins to put together the instructions are clear if you read them carefully. DO NOT open the package of nuts and bolts until you are ready to use them. I read someone talking about the preacher curls not allowing a full range of motion a problem that is easily fixed by simply removing the top ankle cushioning and bar when not in use. It simply slides right out. I can agree with the uprights being a little close together. But it's not a big enough inconvinience to ignore the value. The ONLY problem I have with the product is the butterfly curls. The mounts hit the uprights about mid motion which is mildly annoying. Currently looking into a fix. All I do is pull out slightly on the way up to allow the extra room between the mounts and uprights. Again not a big enough problem to ignore the value. Overall I would say if you're looking for a good sturdy bench at a great price. Buy this bench.

Great product for the money

I love my weight bench. I did not have any trouble putting it together. It is heavy enough and sturdy enough for what I need it for. I wasn't looking for an exercise machine. I wanted a weight bench that I could take the weight off and move it around (if needed). I have a huge exercise machine in the garage that is never used. This one is heavy enough to hold the weights that I will use and is fine on the butterfly extensions. My butterfly extensions aren't wobbly and useless as some have described. Even if they were not as tight as I wanted them to be, I could always grab a washer at the hardware store to tighten the connection. I love it! It suits my needs.

Expand des bolts

Was able to put it together pretty Quick. about 4 hours including clean up. The left butterfly every so often seems to have a life of it's own. So I switched it with the other left butter fly (Right one LOL) same problem. It would also be nice if the had a lat bar you could order. Bolts in butter fly handles could be a wee bit larger. It comes apart quick. I moved it from one room to another while watching/ listening to an episodes of 3 stooges. It is pretty durable. Just that left butterfly handle and longer bolts

Not for tall people

The product is well made considering the price. Assembly wasn't too bad either. However you quickly see the flaws in the product once you start using it. The bench is too short and too thin. I'm 6 foot and there is very little room for movement, and the width of the bench make it very uncomfortable for your shoulder blades. Also the hand holds are way too close together. The fly add-on and leg machine are also a joke. Neither allow full extension and thus make it a waste and more of just a novelty to look at. The only reason I did not give this product a 1 star was because you can actually use it as a bench, just it's very uncomfortable. However I would not reccomend buying it to anyone. Your better off getting a flat bench and using dumbells.

Excellent for price, not sure about butterfly curl

This item arrived earlier than predicted and in excellent shape. As some others have said, pay close attention to the directions for assembly and don't separate the hardware from the card until directed to use each piece. Otherwise, you'll be sorry. My only reservation, now having put it together and tried using it, is the way the arms for the butterfly curls are configured. I'm of average size for an adult male and have yet to find a way to get the handles to fit into my arms in a way that gives me a good position to do the curls as they should be done. The pads aren't as shown in the exercise guide that accompanies the item; the difference is big in terms of trying to position correctly. One reason I bought this item was specifically for the butterfly curl attachment. So, if I can't figure this out, I'm going to be somewhat disappointed. I can't address durability, because I've just got it and started using it. However, it looks sturdy enough for the weight limits advertised. One bright spot: It's a nice looking piece for gym equipment. We had to put it in the corner of a common living area, and I really wasn't happy about that just for appearances. However, it really doesn't look bad at all. So that's a plus.

Great product for the Money

I hesitated to buy this since it was considerably lower in price than others I looked at but it is more than I expected. Butterfly is a little wobbly but I usually use free weights for that exercise anyways and it makes a great place for your excess weights. Easy to assemble ---- just cut a slit in the blister packed bolts, nuts and washers and use as needed. Per the instructions the necessary bolts, nuts, washers are identified by size and number on the blister pack. It took only an hour and twenty minutes including opening the box, unwrapping all the pieces, and watching a movie, to fully assemble. This is a great buy for the money.

Excellent Bench

Ok, first you need to take your time putting this bench set together. As has been said, do not open all the nuts and bolts until you need them or you will be sorry. VERY SORRY. FORGET THE GUY THING and read the directions for putting this together. I believe the bench was for a maximum for 100 lbs so don;t try to use more weights then recommended.

Overall, great bench for the money.

Was looking forward to working out together with my 13 year old son. Did not take very long to assemble. Started using it the very same day we pieced it together. The incline bench works excellent; so does the arm curl attachment. Only draw back, and this is why I am not giving it a five star rating, is that the butterfly apparatus gives an extremely jiggly and uneven range of motion and gets caught, on the way down motion, on the metal attachments for the support cross bar. One last concern. The two small bars used for the leg developer were missing from the package (this was quite annoying) and this took extra work on my part to procure them from the store/manufacturer.
