Rip off

Small tiny not worth $74 . I’m gonna return it. There are no dimensions in the specs. Cheap and plastic

AC power gave out buzzing noise, but 9v battery power works fine. Got better options out there rather than this shitty amp lol. Anyway seller was great

Not bad for an amp

It is very good and i highly suggest it for small, cheap ,portable amps but one downfall is that when you want a distortion gain, it sounds really weird and sorts of zones out. I wish

Trash. Pure trash.

I bought one of these about 6 weeks ago. It worked great for about a week, and then it stopped working. It was getting power, but I could not get any sound. I tried 2 different cables on it, put a new battery in, but still no sound. Plugged my strat into my regular practice amp (10w Fender) and it worked fine fine. Checked out my other cables on the Fender amp and they both worked fine. Sent it back to GC for a new one (which arrived three days after I sent the old one back-happy about that). Took the new one out of the box, put a new battery in, and nothing. Its getting power. I've tried all the cables I have. I plugged in headphones and could hear dead noise through them when I switched the power on. I'm at wits end. Called GC back and they said it might be my strat. If that's the case, why does it work on my other amps? I think I'll just send it back for a refund. I need something I can rely on!

Small but mighty!

Great sound from such a small item. Perfect little practice amp for home or travel use. Nice clear sound with classic Marshall tone. Very impressed with this one, just what I needed.

Cheap but sound is not great.

The amp is built from a good quality plastic. It's pretty cheap, it's Marshall and it looks like a reduced copy of a real Marshall stack. The clean sound is not bad but I couldn't manage it to make a good distorted sound like I've heard on YouTube videos. Compared to other similar compact amps, the sound is not really great.

Size doesn't define power and loudness

If I would ever recommend a portable mini guitar amplifier, this would be the one. The level of tone, loudness, and energy that blast Marshall mini amp is magically unthinkable consider its mini size. The only con of is the lack of an audio port, where it can also act as a music speaker. Overall, it is a must own by guitarists and musicians alike.

Perfect for Practice

As I am just learning guitar I wanted an amp that could be used anywhere in the house and not drive the family crazy! The amp performs as I expected and would recommend for someone looking to be able to plug in to practice at less than arena volume levels. Nice tone as I try to learn some Metallica riffs.

Too much distortion

Distortion made it unusable using my Rick bass. Using my Les Paul, too much distortion even with light strum of 1st postion G cord. Volume was week even two feet away. The "manuals" gave no indication of how to get a power adaptor. Marshall disappointed me and I returned it within a week.

Great for on-the-go practicing

There is not quite enough gain to get a good metal sound. However, the clears are nice and the volume can be much higher than I expected. The case is rather obviously cheap plastic. Overall, it looks like a fun little thing and it sounds like one.

Great bang for your buck!

This thing works great. It is a good amp for beginners because its easy and its in rock and roll mode out of the box. You get that marshal stack cranked sound out of the box! But you can play with acoustic guitars as well! New guitar players will love it and old school cats will dog it but in the end they help kids learn the electric guitar and old guys like me smile because we finally got that legendary amp we dreamed about for 60 bucks!!

.......not going to dent budget or create a sensation in the stack world. But it is good honest tote around system for practice or kids parties. Gain, volume, tone and on and off controls Input jack and headphone jack it comes complee with 9v battery. There is also an AC jack, but you'll need to buy the adaptor seperately. Fun little bundle.

Loudest and best sounding mini amp.

Awesome Product. The only mini amp that can hold its own when playing with an acoustic guitar. All of the other mini amps I've experienced are either drowned out by an acoustic, or sound horrible when cranked loud enough to play with one. This amp can play with an acoustic or quiet electric and still sound great. Very portable and durable (I have dropped mine multiple times and it still sounds great). I very strongly recommend this amp for anyone who would like to bring an electric on a vacation or somewhere else.

Marshall MS4 Micro Stack Amp - A excellent Practice Amp and Compact

The Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack features 2 speaker cabs with a head, and it stands only 9-3/4" high. Includes fully functioning Gain, Volume, and Tone controls. The Marshall Micro Stack is powered by a 9V battery. It has portability, of version of big size amps with power of a small package. One of the best small guitar amp around, very happy.

Use your guitar's volume knob(s)!!!

Terrible cleans? Keep the volume way down on your guitar, turn it back up on the amp, and you have a respectable crisp, clean tone! Turn the volume all the way up on your guitar and you have no clean tone whatsoever.

Yes you can !!!

OK I will write something none did about use of this "amp", at least I didnt notice so sorry if someone wrote that : I checked on some gear forum question from a guitarist--he tried to connect this MS-4 to his amp as preamp boost, he said he got no sound, sohe got advice to mod thing(you have to open back of amp and solder certain jumper to get direct out--but headphone is not usable after that !)And one guy told that he got sound through headphone to another amp but it was nogood sounding ! So...both was wrong, first of all I quite intensely play and practice guitar every day, now some about sound...So :1. You have to put jackin just a half cause headphone out is stereo, 2.I have plugged thing to my Bugera 5V--5watts tube amp-which have excellent sound just lacking little push...so this MS-4 have provided that push, it serves excellent as a preamp boost and gives to your amp (specially good if you have dark sounding tube amp) Marshall caracter, so amp turns into Marshall and rally sound as you are playing tube Marshall amp--no kidding here, crystal clear strong punchy cleans and also with this you can overdriven tubes really nicely, great also to give you lead channel! So you dont need boost predal if you use this for an amp ! And you dont have to mod this amp, just use this headphone thing ! You can use micro cube roland in same way--rec/hedph out to another amp ! Then you dont need effect pedals and sound greeeeat ! The same with this MS-4--your amp becomes Marshall !! Is that good enough ?

Sounded great

I ordered one a few weeks ago. But, it showed up with the top cab crushed. Returned it for a replacement. I received the new one. It sounded great... for about fifteen minutes until what I am assuming was the speakers blew. Returned it at the store near me for an Orange. Customer Service was great, but I was expecting a lot better quality from Marshall. P.S. I swear by Marshall. I own another one which is great. I just expected better Quality Assurance from Marshall.

Its a Marshall

I bought this for my son. Thought it would be good for him to practice on in his room without disturbing anyone else in the house. After playing through it myself, I soon discovered he wouldnt be disturbing us with the micro amp(even if he wanted to). After reading several very misleading reviews, "jaws dropped" and "people laughed until they heard it", I had to hear this amp. I just wanna set the record straight. I laughed when I saw it(its cute), and was disappointed when I heard it. This is a toy. Marshall makes some of the greatest amps out there, but this fell way short. You can buy a 10 or 15 watt no-name amp for around the same money, that will sound alot better. But, I guess it does have MARSHALL written on it!
