These bowls are exactly what I wanted.

I love these pasta bowls! I've been wanting a set for a long time but had so many dishes that I hesitated to buy more. I got these to go with our greenish set of stoneware plates. They coordinate nicely even though they are different brands and colors. I like the size and shape. At first I thought I wanted bigger but I'm embracing smaller rather than oversized things. These also don't scratch! My green stoneware dishes have marks left from normal cutlery use. They have a nice weight. They can get hot to the touch in the microwave. They have become our go-to-dish.

Beautiful. Simple. And perfect. Great price. Paid 3x as much for Hawkins New York dishes that scratched from basic utensil use so badly that it was embarrassing to serve on them. Replacing with these. Scratch tested and so far, so good. HOWEVER, they are very small for pasta dishes, which I would expect to be 1-2 inches wider. They are smaller than the salad plate! Presentation suffers a bit.

Sadly the first lot of bowls arrived with areas of missing glaze and they looked like seconds. In fairness when I pointed it out to Von Haus they sent another set. These though were also imperfect with lumps under the glaze. I've managed to get a reasonable set from the two boxes but I just think they ought to be perfect unless sold as seconds.

Not the best quality

Not all the bowls were matte black, some had a glossy finish. I ordered 8 and at least 2 had blemishes/chips on them. As they were a gift, I asked how to return. Customer Services were excellent and offered to send me replacements which they did. Out of the 16 I was able to match up 8, but was disappointed with the overall finish of the bowls. Well done to Customer Services for responding so quickly.

Dinner service looks smart but there are imperfections on some of the pieces eg noticeable raised bumps here and there. But overall for the price it is a lovely dinner service.

Gorgeous Matt black pasta dishes..

Pasta dishes look very stylish in the Matt black. Perfect for my daughters new kitchen. The quality is outstanding, they are the perfect size. She absolutely loves them. Price was just right, look really nice, would definitely buy again...

Look nice from a distance, but on closer inspection found there are moulding flaws on the outside rim of each bowl(4) .
