[Rewarded Review] Simply a beautiful faucet.
While this item is available in three finishes, find one that will suite your specific decor. This is being used in a bath rebuild with a low profile tub. Mounting is simple and it is mostly plug and play. Mating all components to check for fit is mandatory. The machining is very good and will allow a lifetime of problem free service. Sealant tape is included and should be plenty long enough for the completion of the project. . There are good rubber washers included for all mating parts. I found that only mild snugging would be fine and no presenting leaks were found. Through instructions are included, they offer a good guide. One important step is to flush to stub outs as many times with steel pipes there can be some rust or calcification present. This important step will reduce long term problems encountered later. When mounting, the nice feature is that adapters help to align and center the faucet so no special plumbing or other pipe fitting will be necessary. This is a very simple install and will look great no matter where it is utilized..
[Rewarded Review] 3 Star for Install on Claw Foot Tub Application
I am rating this faucet as a 3 star for install use on a claw foot tub. It would probably be rated a 5 star if it was installed as a wall mount. The main issue that arose when installing on a claw foot tub is the female extension nut provided (shown in pic) was not long enough and no way to clamp it into place. These may be a specialty part and have to be purchased in addition to install on a claw foot tub. I was able to use parts from my old faucet to adapt to the new faucet and get it working. Once installed, everything functioned as it should. Aesthetically, the setup looks nice. The faucet spout is a swivel head and can be pushed to the side so it is not as obtrusive. The shower head has good pressure and the shower head hose has a long enough reach to rinse oneself off or rinse the tub down. Because the shower head hose is long, it does lay in the tub, which may pose a problem if you are taking a bath as it will be submerged in water. A better design would be to provide a way to keep the hose out of the water.
[Rewarded Review] Claw Foot Tub Faucet and spray handle
This is a nice design and I like the looks of Brass. I like the looks of the white handle on the spray handle. I do wish the hot and cold knobs also included white buttons on them. However. it still look great. The spray handle will be a nice feature to help rinse off after a nice soak in the tub. It does not fit my old cast iron claw foot tub exactly and I needed to add a spacer. Although on newer tub units it may fit correctly.
[Rewarded Review] 3-Handle Vintage Claw Foot Tub Faucet with Telephone Shaped Hand Shower Old Style Spigot Hand Shower in Brushed Nickel
I know this faucet assembly was meant more for a tub and to do hand-held spraying but I thought this would be cool for my actual shower. I am not a fan of the Pressure Balancing Valves where you can't control the water flow separate from the temperature so I thought this would be a great alternative. I converted my main bath from a tub to a shower so the spacing of the hot/cold water supply lines didn't matter to me because I could adjust the rough-in accordingly. You can replace the shower head with whatever shower head (if you wanted to) and then get a holder to install above. This is a solid spigot and the brushed nickel goes with anything. If using the holder for the "phone" shaped assembly I would prefer the handle actually fit into the holder than just resting on it. They had a perfect opportunity to line up the "hooks" on either side of the handle, but instead one end rests on the joint of the hose. I bent mine up so they fit right into the bevels on each side of the handle. Maybe it is just my OCD. Anyway, it may not meet code in some places (because the hot is not limited) but, like I said, I prefer to be able to choose full or low flow at whatever temp I want. This solves that issue. It is also more unique than most assemblies.
[Rewarded Review] Love the new fixture.
This is a really well put together product. It arrives in packaging with plenty of cushion to make sure there was no damage or scratches when it arrived. I used it immediately in my sink for my laundry, which I use quite often to give dogs baths or fill my mop bucket this is made it much easier as my old faucet only had a spray head where this one has a spray head and a faucet I did modify, the spray head and use my old spray head simply because it had multiple spray functions. I would write this a five and would highly recommend it to anyone in need Of a new fixture.
[Rewarded Review] Very Nice Claw Foot Tub Faucet With A Spray System For Rinsing
This three handle claw foot tub faucet with a spray system for rinsing has a very nice satin gold finish that gives it a more modern appearance but still retains an antique feeling to help keep the nostalgic charm of a bygone era. I installed this faucet on a 1930’s cast iron claw foot tub that I have in our master bath and love the way the faucet looks so stylish plus I now have a spray system for rinsing. The tub is elevated on a wood and antique brick platform with steps for access. The platform makes it a central attraction for the entire room as well as the large painting of yellow sunflowers behind the tub and it now has a very nice faucet that enhances the look. The bath area has a walk-in tile shower so the tub is only used for a relaxing hot bath for my wife or myself but is also a great place to wash grandkids and let them play in the tub. The faucet adds a lot to the tub’s look and has a unique approach to allow it to be utilized with differently spaced faucet holes so it will fit most openings. However, the faucet did not come with a way to attach the faucet to the tub requiring a trip back out to buy ½ inch brass threaded washers to use as retainers. The directions were not sufficiently written and in fact there were no actual written instructions only poorly done illustrations. There were two different illustrations, one on the front and another on the back with nothing to explain the difference. The inconvenience of having to make a trip to get the fasteners which Home Depot does not carry, and the poorly done instructions caused me to lower my rating to four stars. The proper tub connectors are only available at specialty plumbing supply houses and fortunately I do a lot of plumbing and knew where to go so it is now installed and working fine.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful but an odd size
This faucet is beautiful! It turned out not to match the 1930s faucets in my home, though--those have a thicker, almost conical base with six faces. Also, the facets are too close together to fit my plumbing. Many neighbors were interested in trying the faucet as well, but it was too small for their bathtubs as well. The faucets are 6.5-7" apart from each other--I'll include a photo. Anyway, *if* you have faucets that are 6.5-7" apart, then I do recommend this faucet because it's beautiful!
[Rewarded Review] Missing Mounting for claw foot tub!
Ok, the product itself is pretty good, but it is seriously missing parts for installing it properly. Actually, I am having to redo the installation when I can find the correct parts that I will need to do so. The supplied instructions are for mounting it to a wall, not a tub. To mount it correctly to a claw foot tub, it requires a locking backing nuts , similar to what I circled in one photo which were on the orginal faucet for the tub. I purchased an extra set of Escutcheon plates to use for the missing backing plate washers (Home Depot doesn't the backing plate washers) hoping that with a coupling and the plate would hold the faucet securely. It doesn't, so I will have to try and find ones or make them myself.
[Rewarded Review] Check your measurements for center hole needs
I was going to install this on a wall sink for a potting bench. My sink arrived broken so I couldn't install this. However I don't think it would have fit because the distance on this faucet between the inlet holes were wider than what the sink could use. I don't know that I love the antique brass finish. I assumed it would be less rubbed matte looking and more polished brass. Pictures show it outside in the sunlight for you to decide if this color works for you. The shower spray is not adjustable and creates a soft rainfall effect when I attached it to a water supply. The handle for the showerhead turns it off either to the left or right. I wish the knobs had the white in the center like the shower handle does with H and C on them for a more vintage feel.
[Rewarded Review] Smallish but Great Finish
This turned out to be the wrong on-center for the use I was planning. However, I can say the finish is really nice, quite smooth and a great not-too-shiny gold finish. The handle is much smaller than I anticipated. Overall, it feels like it's for a smaller application than a full-size tub so not sure what this would be for. Perhaps a hair-washing sink?
[Rewarded Review] 3-Handle Claw Foot Tub Faucet with Telephone Shaped Hand Shower Old Style Spigot and Hand Shower in Matte Black
3-Handle Claw Foot Tub Faucet with Telephone Shaped Hand Shower Old Style Spigot and Hand Shower in Matte Black. Let me start out by saying this is a beautiful and well made faucet. I loved the way it looked and felt. It was to my misfortune that the unit would not fit my tub. I may have misunderstood when it said old style claw foot tub. I thought it was talking about the tub. I removed the old faucet and the new one would not fit the holes in the tub. When looking at it online it did not give the center to center needed to make it fit. And the picture looked like it was close together. My claw foot tub has holes cut at 3 1/2 inches center to center. This faucet inlets are 6 inch center to center and will not fit my claw foot tub. A better description of this product is needed on the web site giving dimensions. It would probably work well on a modern tub. I really liked this and wish it would had fit. I gave it 3 stars because it is built well and beautiful. I hope others find this useful information.
[Rewarded Review] A Beautiful Upgrade
This is a beautiful upgrade to a 100 year old tub. I was hesitant to try this newer faucet on such an old tub. I was certain the holes would not line up. To my surprise the faucet is fully adjustable and will fit any hole pattern width. The package includes needed washers and thread tape to ensure a water tight install. The finish is outstanding and lends to the overall beauty of this fixture. This kit also adds a hand held shower head which is great for rinsing off after a bath and cleaning the tub after your bath. When not in use the shower head sits nicely atop the fixture and out of the way.
