Heavy duty product and my client loves them!

Almost all of these in the store had imperfections in the finish. Many were under the clear coat, some were chips and marks in the clear coat. The quality was very disappointing. I ended up going with kwikset brand that was cheaper, the finish was much better, and the installation was more flexible ( accommodated a plate or round latch installation).

Looks great on new door

We got two of these entry locks for our exterior doors, including one for our new front door. It looks and works great. The same key works for both locks as well as the deadbolt.

New Schlage Lock Keyed alike

Needed a new Schlage lock to match the others in my home. It needed to be keyed alike to all the other outdoor locks. I ordered and it was shipped quickly. It arrived, was easily installed and the keys worked.

Appeals to My Inner Engineer.

Used this to replace a comparable Kwikset. I like that the locked position of the switch places the switch horizontally. The Kwikset places it vertically and that has always felt backwards to me. Also, the "panic feature" isn't just convenient. Because the locking position of the switch is horizontal, you can keep your thumb on the switch as you open the door, so if you're just opening and closing it without going through it, your thumb will keep the switch in the locking position when it closes. It's so natural that I didn't even realize what I had done until the third time I did it. The Kwikset did put a bit more emphasis on aesthetics, hiding the tumblers in the core of the stem rather than a protruding housing, and hiding the set screws behind the face plate, but it was also a little trickier to install, uninstall, and swap the handles for opposite side doors. I'm more engineer than artist though, so I prefer these Schlage. My only complaints, albeit minor, is that the keyhole on the handle isn't vertical. Especially since the keyhole on the deadbolt is vertical. That said, I'm very happy with my purchase.
