Very easy to install, all necessary Hardware included even the Long Island wrench to secure the inside handle. The locking mechanism works good the short screws for the strike plate and the door work securely and it's a smooth operation. The lock works great what I usually do is put the opening key on the top of the door ledge so it's easily accessible in an emergency.

Missing important screws

Missing small screws to attach handle to mount. Handles keep falling off due to no screws being provided with handles, I’ve tried looking at a local hardware store and I am unable to find anything that will keep the handles from coming off the door.

I was not as professional as some of the other ladies reviews, lol - mine did not come with instructions and a friend had to show me.

Very chic looking black matte entry door handle, used it on my new shaker door and looks very chic! Purchased more Kwikset locks with the SmartKey technology but not installed yet. But what a great thing for having just one key and you can change it at any time. Love it.

Poor production quality. The small screw that eventually holds one of the handles on was installed already and must be taken out then you slide the handle back on and put the screw back. That screw was paint in and I could not get off with the applied Allen key.

Fantastic

These were very easy to install. I did 6 of them last night in about 2.5 hours. That includes my garage entry and re-keying the lock with my current Kwikset key that also unlocks my front door. I am installing more now and have it down to 11-12 minutes each. This is coming from a woman in her 50s that has a handyman do lots of things. You can do it! They look great and feel very sturdy.

The Kwikset handles have a good build quality and finish. They feel substantial when using them. Packing for delivery was sketchy - 5 handles in their boxes bouncing around a large box with no packing material. Luckily, none of the handles were chipped.

Kwikset or SLOW-set, What else is misleading?

Too bad Kwikset can't even accurately describe their privacy lockst product, or provide complete instructions. There were no written instructions but you can find them online. Without knowing a "secret" step, it is not universally handled. No-one in customer support at Kwikset could explain how you could EASILY swap handles when each side has a physically different handle. It looks like I have to return two that I purchased and cancel an order for 8 more.

alley wrench screw wont fit

I love kwikset, we use it in all our new build homes so i decided to get a set for my own home, everything went smooth until the very end when attaching the handle and locking it in with an alley wrench screw. At first i was wondering why it wouldnt get any tighter, then i notice the hole was too small. I used my drill bit set to enlarge it, each time it still wouldnt fit until it was too late. Now i have a loose handle. Very disappointed, i shouldnt have to drill in the first place if it was correct the first time. For now it holds. Not sure if its only this product cause all the other kwikset door knobs/handles products work perfectly fine. Just this one gave me a headache. Beware

Re-keyable and decent for price

Easy to re-key when installed and easy to install - though the screws could be placed on top and bottom like some other versions to make it less awkward to install than going around handles. You can see the brass where the screws are - meaning it's not black like the pictures show, but it's a minor disappointment and too much of a hassle to take it off. Was slight cheaper here than home improvement store. Seems solid and easy to clean/use.

Great Looking at a reasonable price

I just redid all of the interior "knobs" on my new home with the Kwikset Casey levers. I replaced egg shaped, hammered finish knobs (which I couldn't stand the feel or look of) with these for a more updated, modern look with still a little flair. These have a good tactile feel (don't feel cheap) and I love the levers that you can open with your elbow when your hands are full! Easy to install.

Also, the close sound of the door is much more muted with this lever than before... The install is extremely easy and straight forward and took me less then 10 min. If it's' your first door lever install you will spend more time looking at the directions than speeding through doing it. So easy. I did notice it took some extra force to screw the last bit for the long screws that connect the interior and exterior piece... don't be worried to give it some good force... it will tighten up nicely.

The directions show included hardware for a metal door which I did not receive - only wood screws. The screw heads need to be larger - or caps provided to hide the metal underneath.

I’m really happy with these door levers! I chose these based on looks and perceived functionality. These were very easy to install. Once I got the hang of it, it took me less than 10 minutes. I chose these over the similar Halifax because they have a twist lock, rather than a button, which I hope will make it harder for kids to lock themselves into rooms.
