We had a professional electrician install the box with extra support and after the light was hung the threaded nut that came with the unit completely gave out and the light crashed onto the dinning table, ruining it. The nut was more than secure and it appears the weight of the fixture was too heavy for the hardware provided. This is a nightmare and now we're stuck with a $1000 fixture and a badly damaged Italian dinning table. What recourse do we have? We have thrown the packing box away never thinking there would be such a basic design flaw with the fixture.

The description on this was 40" dia...incorrect. Its a rectangle and caused quite a bit of issues as other light fixtures that were coordinated around this. Round is round and when it says 40" dia it means round not rectangle. I called the company as well - same description.

Beautiful Fixture
In love with the fixture! The golf is more brassy then I was expecting, not shiny gold. It is dimmable which is perfect for entertaining. This was the missing piece to my house.
