Good Solution (with caveats)

We were looking for a way to illuminate our vaulted space and found it! Here are a few things to watch out for if you're thinking of doing the same: 1. We went straight wall-to-wall as shown in the pictures. I would not suggest putting this with the brackets perpendicular to cable unless you have some serious anchorage (see comment #2). 2. Do not use the screw-in type drywall anchors that are provided! Go to the hardware store and buy the heaviest toggle-type anchors that are small enough to still work with the threaded sleeves. 3. It all went together fairly easily, but should not be attempted by a total novice. Tighten everything well, and pray that the cinchy hex wrenches don't strip or break.

Exactly the look I wanted.

Home gym, wanted more industrial look. This fixture is reasonably priced and has the right look, but could be improved, when installed into the ceiling, the cables pull out/buckle if tightened too much. I might consider changing the bulbs for more lumens or different kelvin level.

Perfect to see clearly

So happy we purchased these. We had no overhead lighting in the kitchen. This was the perfect solution. Quality, ease of installation and perfect overhead lighting.

A perfect lighting solution.

Our open concept kitchen lighting was behind the sink and dishwasher. The Kable light perfectly illuminate the sink and counter plus my artist wife's most prized creation all will taping into an existing electric light outlet. We love the warmth of the lighting and being us a dimmer to control the mood.

Great low-intensity lighting.

Love the product, but the installation instructions do leave a little to be desired. The metal disks are shown to be installed in one orientation but they leave a noticeable gap at the wall if done as shown. It’s better to turn them over and install so that they sit flush against the wall. Other than that, I love them.

Not great quality

I recently bought a building with these exact lights. I needed to add more. I ordered 3 sets. The quality doesn't compare to my older versions at all. The wiring is thinner, the parts aren't as strong, the quality isn't there. We used them and my electrician was hoping they wouldn't break when he hung them. They 'look' fine. But I wouldn't order again or recommend them.

Very nicely built. It takes some effort to install, but the directions are good and the Allen wrenches are supplied. Light is great.

Easy to Install, Flexible Lighting

Purchased these to help a client light their home to use as a gallery to display art for interior designers. The cable lights were easy to install and are easy to move about on the cable to get the proper angles. The bulbs that came with the fixtures needed to be replaced with whiter LEDs for truer color for the client's uses but these are much easier to add to a room than any other art lighting I've worked with.

Looks awesome

Everything went together great until the end. The Alan wrench to put the bulbs into the fixtures was not small enough. We had to go out and purchase a set that had one smaller (we had other Alan wrenches but none small enough). Once we figured this out - the rest was easy!

Love these lights

Love these lights! Minimal look, unlike anything else. Incandescent bulbs can be replaced with LED when they go out. Save any little tools that might come with these for bulb replacement.

Great accent light

A simple, modern lighting solution that works great to accent a small space. The low voltage doesn't put out a ton of light, but like I mentioned, it works great to accent a small space. The area I was lighting up was a small basement kitchen, so it seemed to work just fine.

Just what we needed

This is a reasonably priced kit which we purchased to light a challenging space. It is exactly as shown in the advert (see photo of our installation). We use it in an area which previously had no overhead light. There was no power above; thus stretching the cables across the space from wall to beam allowed the space to be lit almost uniformly. The versatility of the lamps is paramount, each of the five can be aimed, north-south and east -west, this allows coverage of the whole area. The transformer is rated at 100 watts and the kit comes with five incandescent 20 watt bulbs. We replaced those bulbs with 5 watt LEDs, so that theoretically more lamps (with LED bulbs) could be added to the cables. However, we have not been able to find additional lamps at a reasonable price.
