My 3 year old LOVES her bed

This loft bed is perfect for my three year old. It's not too high for her so I feel good about her getting on and off. Also the little space underneath is her new favorite play area. We put some string lights in there for lighting and she loves it! Giving it 4/5 stars only because it takes some time to assemble but overall wasn't too hard. I wish the hardware was labeled better because that can be a little confusing. But overall a good experience.

So cute in my son’s room!! There was a tiny bit of damage to the railing and the corner is smashed. Could be packaged a little better to avoid that. But really happy with it otherwise!

It’s pretty from a distance! The finish is not great. You can see through the white paint. Which looks more like a super thin coat of primer. Bed is also. Little wobbly. But good for my toddler!

Not sturdy

Bed looks great but with every move of my 8yr old the entire bed shakes. Not very sturdy. He had another larger loft bed that was extremely sturdy when he had a large room so I was looking for similar quality.

Cool but regretting my choice

Bought almost a year ago for my 6 and 8 year old boys. My husband only had one problem building but was able to fix it.

Solid wood, but many pieces makes it noiser than most bed frames

My daughter really wanted this bed -- loved the style of it and how it would fit into her room -- and I've heard great things about Max and Lily. The assembly instructions were clear, and I put it together in about ~4 hours. And we loved the look of it!

Great bed

For the price it’s an amazing bed. My 4 year old takes the draws and moves them out and plays under the bed as a hideout. She loves her new bed. It was also very easy to put together. I actually built it with my 7 and 10 year old.

Nice and Sturdy!

We purchased this bed for our 5-year-old and he loves it! It was fairly easy for two adults to assemble and the instructions were easier than anything we;ve pruchased from IKEA. The bed seems solid for climbing in and out. Our son LOVES the "secret fort" underneath and already has it decked out with pillows and flashlights. We're really happy with our purchase and are looking forward to this bed holding up for many years!

Very sturdy bed. The little hideout is awesome but I do think the opening for it could be a bit bigger. It's still fine though and I like that you can switch which side it's on. The low loft is a great compromise for kids who want that bunk bed feel and parents who don't feel comfortable with their kid having a ladder. 4 stars because one of our screws was defective and caused one of the pieces of wood to crack. Waiting for replacement pieces and will update my review then.

Completely mismatched pieces

This would get 5 stars for quality (the frame is sturdy) but I’m super upset that you get to the very end of building only to find that the backing for the bookshelves and ladder is a completely different cheap looking quality and color!! It throws the look off completely! Compare the pictures to see what is advertised vs what you actually get.

Never heard of Max & Lily but totally worth it!

We needed a loft bed for our 10 y/o daughter but because we have slanted ceilings we could only do a low loft. Most all 'big box' stores had really cheap bed frames. We never heard of Max & Lily before but we are so pleased with this purchase. First, the weight limit of 400lbs is very reassuring and the wood is nice and thick and isn't particle board. Everything fit together perfectly. Instructions had no words; only photos. We got turned around just once with the instructions but overall very clear. She's been sleeping soundly in it now for nearly 3 weeks and we couldn't be happier. It doesn't slant or wobble; it's very sturdy and strong. Yes it's a little more than amazon or 'big box' stores. But you'll get quality and when it's your little one sleeping 4 feet off the ground... you need quality!

The bed was nice. But

The bed was nice. But the paint was very thin. I don't know if they used primer on it as the wood grains are still visible with the paint on it.

I love this loft bed

I love this loft bed but I do wish the steps were built differently. When getting out of the bed my daughter has a hard time with that top step and seems to miss it causing her to stumble out of bed.

It's built well and the instructions are easy to follow, customer service is where this company struggles.

Nice loft bed but some reservations

Overall, we really like this bed. It feels sturdy and the loft area is super fun. An adult can fit underneath but it’s not easy so it’s really a kid zone!
