Good Quality Pastry Cutter

This pastry cutter is very nice. The blades are thick, sturdy, and made from stainless steel. The blades on pastry cutters aren't sharp, so no need to worry about cutting yourself. The handle is comfortable, although a little on the smaller size. I'm not sure if there are larger sizes to choose from, but this one barely fits my hand. It's a little too small for my husband's hand, so probably not the best for anyone that has a little larger of a hand. Works fine for me though, the small size isn't uncomfortable and it was still easy to use. The handle is about 3 and a half inches wide. The cutters do a good job cutting through butter, so it works just as I would expect. This tool is great for making crusts, biscuits, or anything else that you would need to cut butter into. Pastry blenders really save a lot of time and effort as far as this goes. Once you've had one, it's hard to ever go without. This pastry cutter is not too hard to clean and you can tighten the bolt on it if it starts getting loose, which is nice for upkeep. Other than the slightly small handle size, this is perfect.

Sturdy!

I like this pastry cutter because it is a lot sturdier than an old wire-type cutter that I have. The blades are strong stainless steel. The handle has a soft grip and is comfortable to hold. I've used it to cut butter into flour. I plan to try to use it to lightly mash or chop avocados, eggs and potatoes for salads. It is dishwasher safe.

Great tool

I make dough often and always have a problem mixing it. The tool is comfortable in the hand and blends my dough thoroughly. It is a handy tool and it gets under the flour to mix it in total. With the tool i rarely have any bits that aren't blended.

Has protruding screw and bolt

The pastry cutter works well, but it has a protruding screw and bolt on the end. It's difficult to keep clean and I don't like how it feels when my hand leans on the screw and bolt.

This Spring Chef Dough Blender was very easy to use. The handle is comfortable to hold and seems very sturdy. There is plenty of room between the handle and the blades that you don't have to worry about getting dough on your fingers. The blades are strong enough to blend up a stick of butter right out of the fridge. I did have to scrape the blades a few times with a rubber spatula but that is normal anytime you mix wet and dry ingredients. The blades are strong and they are curved perfectly to push against the side of a bowl. The blender was easy to clean.

Neat

This is a neat gadget, I’ve used it for multiple food products, I’ve used it to sift my flour when cooking and also to break up brown sugar, one of my favorite things to use it for it to blend it my cream cheese into my sugar when I’m cooking, this is definitely a needed kitchen gadget. it’s one item you probably didn’t know you needed until you have it. The possibilities of using this in the kitchen is never ending. I like that it’s dishwasher safe as well.

Must Have

If you bake from scratch at all YOU NEED THIS dough blender. It fits nicely in my hands (I have small hands) and has a nice weight without being too heavy. I have never used one before and always struggled to add butter or mix cream cheese when baking and sometimes in my regular cooking. This really helps to cut the dough and get ingredients mixed thoroughly. I use it for a TON of things like making beignets and even biscuits for chicken and dumplings. It’s made mixing a lot easier!

Spring Chef's dough blender, professional pastry cutter is made of stainless steel, has a good heft to it, very nice quality! I can't comment on its pastry cutting abilities,I can, however, tell you what a great tool it is for cutting butter into flour!! "Excellence"!!!!

Very sturdy pastry cutter

I wish I would have had this pastry cutter decades ago, as I have struggled to find one that is this well made. The design is compact, and fits comfortably in my hand. It is also quite effective, and made short work of my pie crust. It crumbled the ingredients quickly and evenly. It's also made of stainless steel, so it washes up quite nicely in the dishwasher. This pastry cutter will most certainly last a lifetime.

Cuts so easily

This cuts the dough so easily. This makes making dough so much easier, it cuts so evenly and makes it so the lines are straight. It's not heavy at all so lifting it is not bad at all.

Chef approved

cook a lot on my page ig page @no food for eugene. I have just about every contraption you can think of. However, I hate washing dishes and tend to use one utensils for as many tasks as possible. This is great. It’s truly heavy duty. It made cooking so much easier. Clean up was a breeze.

Great pastry cutter

This is such a great little tool for cutting in butter and blending doughs. I regularly bake scones and this tool makes cutting in the butter a million times easier. It’s lightweight and nice looking but also sturdy and will obviously hold up good with use!

Easy to use

I really was happy with the comfort of the handle, easy to grip and use. I was able to use it for pie crust and mixing my bagel dough. It cut the butter/flour mix easily and didn't have any stuck to the cutter when finished. Easy to clean

Nice

I’ve been wanting to get one of these for awhile but just never did. I finally picked one up the other day and I’m glad I did. It’s great to have in your kitchen. The quality of this one is nice. It feels like it will last awhile. I’ve used it a few times and it works well. Definitely recommend!

Very sturdy and good quality!

This is a kitchen tool I can't believe I lived without for so long. Originally, I thought this would be very handy when my husband makes biscuits for his biscuits and gravy or for other dough. Then when I received it, the box suggested using it for boiled eggs! Game changer for egg salad! It took about 20 seconds to chop the eggs and yolks into the perfect size for egg salad right in the mixing bowl. We will definitely be eating more egg salad. This would also be awesome for chopping eggs for salads in seconds.

A must have for pastry crust and crumb toppings

I have a wire pastry blender and had this kind in the past..both work well for pastry crust and crumb toppings. Love that this is smaller so takes up less space in your gadget draw. Well shaped and comfortable handle

Very Happy

This mashes butter, potatoes etc. without having to drag out the mixer. Makes a cleaner, easier clean up too. I can't think of anything could be improved upon.

Have a recipe for pie crust. Have gone through 3 different cutters. They break or bend because the recipe calls for unmelted butter. That stuff is HARD when it comes out of the fridge! This new cutter?, unbelievable! Right through the butter! Mixes up beautifully! No breaking or bending of the blades! Finally! A cutter that can keep up with the toughest bakers. Yay!!
