Retired chef - these are excellent. The offset is nice.

These Mercer tongs have a nice grip, the resistance when squeezing closed feels just right to me. The textured tip is also good for assuring that what the tongs are holding won't sleep away too easily. Really a great product.

I like that the tips are textured to create a firmer grip or hold on the food items that are being handled. There is enough resistance on when squeezing closed for me. I don't feel that it is too hard to close, nor that it closes too easily. Nice, quality, heavy stainless steel makes it a very comfortable set of tongs to do precision placement with.

the precision (with no plus) are a tougher to operate (stronger spring), polished stainless version of the 7& 7/8" tongs. Nice fit and finitch. I have weak computer-guy hands but I don't know who would want to use such strong springs for an extended period of time.

Nice product, very practical to use!

These tongs are great! Easy to hold and sturdy. I like how they are off set. It makes it easy to see exactly where you are placing your decoration. I use them to place sprinkles or larger candies on my cupcakes. It makes them look picture-perfect!

These tongs or tweezers are great when you are needing to get something set into a precarious position on a cake! I like to use it to put skewers into the cakes with fondant work on them. Great tool to have around.
