Pretty and Unique Lamp
The lamp is blue when turned off and purple when turned on. Very pretty. Well packaged, with a huge plus being that it was not packed with styrofoam.

Not the same color, but nice!
I purchased 2 of these lamps for our nightstands. They arrived in a timely manner, and are pretty lamps. You should know a couple of things though, first, it is not a reading light even when using the highest wattage the lamp allows. Secondly, the lamps I received, were pretty much identical, but the color is not as pictured. The color of reddish purple that is shown in the stock photo is actually a blue color when the lamp is off. When the lamp is on, the blue glows a blue-purple color mixed with a muted burgundy-mauve color over about 30-40% of the blue area. I really like the color, but it is not what you see in the photo! Overall, I think it is sturdy lamp. It is the only one I liked that is small and has a pull chain!

Love these lights and so many varieties that I have matching ones throughout the house. I have received many compliments.
Disappointment
I collect Tiffany style lamps. The base of this lamp is cheap. The harp is so small that one is unable to put the bulb in the lamp when assembled. The shade is pretty but the harp is too big for the shade to fit completely over it. Overall a very disappointing product and shopping experience.
Lovely!
I purchased 2 of these lamps, and they are indeed lovely and add a pleasant glow to the space chosen for them. I couldn't be more pleased with these lamps. As another reviewer wrote, these are NOT reading lamps, but do make great accect lamps where you want a pretty, soothing, warm glowing light. And they are super-easy to assemble...I had them out of the box and plugged in within a few minutes.
Prettier in Person
This lamp is beautiful. It is very well made and weighty. My only problem with it is that it definately is only an accent lamp. Even with a 60 watt bulb, it is not very bright.
