Micro Educator

This is my first e collar. With the help from my experienced friend, it didn't take long for us to learn how to use it. This collar has been a game changer for my dog who became reactive to objects going past her. I would've given it 5 stars, but because this is the micro size, I wish the parts were made for a small dog. For example, the 5/8" collar is too large for my 12 lb dog. I ordered the 1/2" bungee collar, but I returned it because it was huge!!! Also wish the receiver could be smaller, but it's smaller than some I looked at. I also wish there a setting to change the vibration strength. The video says the vibration is too much for most dogs. Other than these things, I'm really happy with the unit!

Came without instruction book. I think I was sent a used item. Product seems fine but doesn't hold a charge very long and I don't know if it is because it is defective or not.

I have always used these collars

I usually purchase the long range model, last purchased one about five years ago. That one still strong with roughly 2 days use per charge. I feel like the lights on this model are much brighter than previous. So easy to track my Frenchie at night for potty time. We have an unfenced yard and my dogs have great recall but sometimes need a little correcting.

Micro Educator

Do not purchase for a dog that is 18 Lbs. The collar is extremely very heavy. It is way to large, complicated. very lengthy, made for a very large dog. It is terrifying. This is being sent back to Chewy.

Amazing Product

I recommend this product to anyone who wants to expand their dog’s learning capabilities. The quality and price are both great, BUT I do not recommend using an e-collar if you haven’t done your research or contacted a trainer beforehand. I got the micro educator because my dog is 40lbs and short-haired and responds well to smaller stims (this option has less “power” than the regular mini educator I believe it’s called. Overall great product

Nice but lacking....

I had Bousnic collars before I made this relatively big purchase. Nice collars and well made but lacks a "Pavlovian beep" and a strong toggle. I liked the vibration feature on the Bousnic collars but my dogs barely notice it on the Micro Educator. My six year old East German lines GSD spins at times. Many Shepherds do this despite prolonged exercise. I don't want a static shock for this, just a gentle reminder to stop. A beep or vibration is enough. For the price they should include the beep and an adequate vibration feature.

Excellent Product but Should Include more Training Instructions

This is the compact version of this company's other training collars. It is perfect for training my service dog. However, there were no training instructions with the collar. I had to purchase a book from the company to learn how to properly use the collar. The company should include at least basic training information. This is why I did not give it five stars.

Worth it - What are you waiting for?

We LOVE our 5 year old, 15 lb Yorkie-Bischon Bear, but his not listening to commands and consistent barking (FedEx, UPS, US Postal, a car, a leaf blowing, a squirrel, a knock, a walker in the neighborhood, other dogs when we go on walks) was out of control! A quick 4 hour professional training session with this collar has done wonders!! Now at home with proper use he comes when called and stays until released (with an ok), his barking stops with the 'Leave It ' command and that same command works for any bad habit we want stopped. It's been 6 weeks and we couldn't be happier. Per the trainer, at about 6 months we should expect commands to work whether the collar is on or not. I highly recommend The collar and getting a professional trainer to get the ball rolling!!

Best E-Collar on the MArket

This is the best e-collar. Most dog trainers recommend this one. I had a cheaper one and replaced it with this. My pup seems to be more startled and less scared by this one at low settings which is great. The point is to get their attention not hurt them. The built in light is amazing! A great safety feature for walking when dark out or throwing the ball in the evening. The remote is great, that was my biggest issue with the other collars is the remote buttons are soooo easy to accidentally press. This one isn't like that. I have a super sensitive but stubborn corgi who is 22lbs. Since e-collar training him he has a foolproof recall and his behavior elsewhere has significantly improved.
