close but not quite

I see how this pillow can be good for some, however I am very peticular with my pillows and have learned over the years more expensive doesn't always mean better. The curved edges are good cushion for your neck for back or side sleeping, however, the area where your head rests doesn't offer much support so it doesnt feel like my "head" is on a pillow. I like very firm pillows but if they are too thick my neck is at a funny angle, but if the pillow isnt thick enough I feel I dont have enough support. I'm mostly a side sleeper with bad shoulders and struggle to find the perfect balance of head support and neck cusion. I will keep this pillow but will probably find a way to add more cushion for my head.

I have purchased this item previously and it was pretty good. The sides were uncomfortably hard for side sleeping, but the small neck roll was not bad. It eventually lost support, so I purchased a new one. (Pushing the filling around is too difficult with arthritic hands.) It came folded in half to fit in the new boxes, a representative told me. Well, it has less support than my old one. The filling is impossible to push into the middle crease the folding created as the representative advised. The roll and the sides are softer, too. Less fill to make it fit in the box, I think. I thought the sides would be better now, but they flattened out and loss adequate support almost immediately. Hoping the practice will change, but for now I'm on the hunt again. Purchased in the summer of 2024.
