Good replacement for 1950's and '60's homes

I purchased the 30" and 18" Millbridge towel bars because they were the closest I could find to the design of the originals used in my mid-century modern house. The bar itself is aluminum, not polished stainless steel like the originals, and the bar is thinner. Once towels cover the bar, they look really good.

Very solid towel rack and amazingly simple to install. The package comes with a template so knowing exactly where to mark your holes is super simple. The hardware kit includes 4 screw in plastic anchors so all i basically needed to complete my install was a Phillips screwdriver and a level. Once together, the bar is held securely and tightly with little to no movement at all. The extra wide bar can hold 2 towels side by side.

The Millbridge 30 inch towel bar is a reasonably priced solution if you have space for a 30 inch towel bar. This is a well made bar and brackets do allow for some leeway when installing. Bar with mounts is about 32 long and protrudes about 3 1/4 inches from the wall. If you need it a little shorter you can always cut the bar any length you want. I have space behind the open door where I am installing this bar- will put in a door stop to keep door from hitting it.

The attractive feature about this towel bar is the 30 inch length. It is made of good material and has a beautiful chrome finish. Traditionally a towel bar is used in the bathroom but, I'm using it to accent the appliances in my kitchen which are chrome and black. Because of the length, I am using it creatively to hang my coffee cups, spatulas, etc.

Towel bars can be a pain to install. This one was much different because this manufacturer listened to their customers. The mounting bracket has the ability to adjust sideways. This helps when you start putting on the second bracket. Sometimes the hole tends to wander. These mounting brackets have two slots where you screw into the wall. Pure genius.

The Millbridge 30 in. Towel Bar in Polished Chrome looks heavier than it really is but is so stylish. It is easy to install when using the tinplate on the back of the box. It holds my new large towels. Says it can hold up to twenty pounds but I’m not going to try it. I have tried a couple of different towel bars in that bathroom and they would not stay on the wall. This one has been up for a month with no problem.
