The smell OH MY GOD. Smells so toxic made the whole house smell within 5 minutes of being taken in. Came with the wrapping half off so probably went through whole transportation half open and still has the strongest toxic smell I can even smell it in other rooms returning first thing tomorrow can’t have this in my home any longer especially with a toddler.

This is a top-notch rug pad. It boasts wonderful strength and softness that can give even thin rugs extra plushness. It is also highly practical rubber backing providing grip in addition to the fact that the wrong pattern is even trimmable allowing for adjustment.

I should have trusted the reviews

First, the 8x12 is only 8x10. If purchasing in store that’s not an issue because it’s clearly stated on the package so it seems to be an online discrepancy. The rug pad is very thin and the smell is absolutely horrendous. If you have the space and good weather to set it outside in the sun that might help. Unfortunately, we didn’t have either and the smell will not dissipate even with the use of baking soda and other carpet odor eliminating products. The grip pad on the bottom is very nice though. It doesn’t budge at all and was actually quite hard to move into place when we needed to adjust the carpet. So they got at least one thing right with this pad.

Smell lasts a long tine

Does it work? Yes. Is it toxic? Extra yes. The fumes haven’t gone away months later. The piece I cut off I left outside, that piece seems better now, so I finally got my desk off it and put it outside. So far (overnight) still bad, so definitely leave it out for a few days before placing it under a rug.

Size Wrong! Only 8x10!

It says 8’x12’ which is a LIE! Can they not do math?!?! It’s 120” long which is ONLY 10’ and so a total waste of several hours ordering and getting home to only find out it’s 2’ short!!! And then back to the store for return! Please get your measurements right!

Top notch rug pad. This rug pad does a fantastic job adding cushion and grip strength to any rug. It could easily be trimmed and adjusted so it can work on even Rounded or small rugs. And thanks to its low profile, it does so without being too noticeable.

Best non-skid pad you will find

In the past we have used typical rubber rug pads with holes. They were fine, but for our large kilim rug on a wood floor we needed something that would not slip at all. We found it with Thin Lock Rug Pad from AFW. NO SLIPPING! This will be the only rug pad we use from now on.

Love this rug pad!

So impressed with this rug pad! I was constantly having to reposition our rug as it was always sliding on the floor. We also wanted some additional padding for the inevitable toddler falls and head bumps. This rug pad fixed both of our problems perfectly! The rubber bottom keeps the rug exactly in place and doesn't let it shift an inch. Our rug feels so much more comfortable with the added layer of foam. The pad had no weird smell and took about five seconds to unroll and lay out. I would highly recommend this product!

Perfect weight and size for the new area rug

We recently purchased a much larger area rug for our living room and this pad was perfect. It was easy to trim. It arrived directly from the manufacturer quite quickly. It lays well, there is no odor. We laid it immediately.

STINKS!

Bought this with great hopes since it has two-sided gripping. It didn’t arrive in a box or mailing envelope. It arrived with a protective clear wrap with the label smacked on. Ok, but the moment I picked it up, there was an odor. When I opened the seal, the stink was overwhelmingly awful. I let it sit for a couple of days with the hopes the odor would dissipate, but no such luck. Unfortunately, I had to return it and even the sales person was disgusted with the smell.
