Table as pictured, easy to assemble.

Very good protective packaging - parts arrived in perfect condition. Detailed, easy to follow, assembly instructions. Assembled by myself with no difficulty. Color and detail of the table as pictured. I am happy with this purchase.

Poor workmanship, directions and service

I recently bought 3 AFI Mission tables of different types from target.com. The one I'm reviewing came with a top that wasn't finished on one edge--it was rough and whitish. I tried to call and chat with AFI Support, but my voice mail wasn't returned and chat wasn't available. So I sent them an email. I got a response two days later that the top would be shipped FedEx. The FedEx label was created that same day, but now 11 days later that's still the FedEx status. I emailed AFI Support again four days ago, and all they did was confirm that the status was "Label Created". Another issue with all 3 tables I purchased is that the directions aren't clear that you need to pre-drill holes for the screws that go into the legs--using only a screwdriver isn't very effective. Also, the rubber tree wood used for the tables isn't kind to drill bits--I ruined two of my bits trying to drill pilot holes (yes, these are quality bits that have worked fine for other applications). Apart from those issues, the two tables I was able to assemble are sturdy and look good, and the price was reasonable. But I can't recommend the product due to the issues I experienced.

This little side table is very nice. Solid wood with a very nice finish. I'm a little old lady so I had a little trouble with screwing the wood screws into the hardwood, it was very easy to assemble. It's a very good buy.

Do not purchase

I read the reviews and thought I was getting a quality product. Home Depot, why are ruining your reputation by selling this junk. Both table tops badly scratched. One was scratched so badly it was down to bare wood.

Nice, but tough to assemble

Table is made from solid hardwood and finished project is robust and good looking. The finish is excellent, but not outstanding as there was some uneven spots in the top surface and some roughness to the finish on the underside. There were two significant issues with assembly. The first issue is tightness of fit of the smaller wood dowels in the side panels - I had to use a hammer to drive them into the drill holes. The second issue was the requirement to fasten the side panels to the legs using wood screws where there are no pilot holes. I would not have been able to do so except that I fetched by drill and drilled the pilot holes into the legs. Once assembled, the side table is sturdy and good looking.

One was easy to assemble; second one wasn't

We ordered two of these for our family room and enjoy them now they are put together. As noted in the title, the first one went together quickly. The second didn't as the manufacturer forgot to drill a hole for one of the legs. Other than snafu, I would have given them five stars. These are very pretty and fit perfectly in a smaller space.

Overstock delivered the item quickly. I would say its made well & yes its real wood. The issue we had is the hardwood finish could have been better -- the table top has some slight dips in it. The End tables color was slighly off from the matching Coffee Table we purchased a few days earlier from Overstock. However, the End tables were good for the price. PS: Its easy to assemble, I suggest clamping it together while your putting the provided screws & hardware. I also drilled pilot holes to avoid cracking the wood.

Quality lacking

Overstock did their part. Delivery of end table was fine. Quality of product was lacking. I had to assemble end table and I noticed some areas were rough (obviously not sanded) & polyurethane was missing on those areas. The only thing good to say about it, was that it was solid wood. Will not order anything from Afifurnishings again.

I like this little table. It fits perfectly into the spot and I'm using it for my desktop computer. However, the top had some scratches on it that I didn't notice until I finished assembling it; otherwise, I would have returned it. It's also very dark brown (walnut), darker than I expected so it's not a great match for my other furniture. All in all, I like the table. It suits my needs and is the perfect size.

Not very pleased

At first, I was very impressed with the extremely well done packaging. All the parts were carefully wrapped and protected. But when I unwrapped the parts, I was very disappointed. There was an insert that said "5 Step Finishing Process". Maybe two steps! The legs were poorly finished. Looks like they were hastely sanded and slapped with a coat of stain. One of the legs had a hole and it was puttied with a white powdery substance that was all over the leg. The bottoms of the legs were not finished other than a quick sand. Instead of a nice straight surface where the legs attached to the top, it was slightly curved making it difficult to screw together. I got it together finally and it will pass, although it wobbles.

Surprisingly solid

I was impressed at the thickness of the tabletop. It's not wobbly either. The legs are solid. You need a little elbow grease to seat the screws that don't have pilot holes drilled but the result is a very solid table that does not look like "unassembled" furniture at all. I bought two. Also, the top of one of them came with a scratch and the manufacturer (who had a flyer in the box to contact them directly) responded to my email and shipped a new top immediately.

Good design, instructions and assembly. Nice looking table.

The unit came very well packed with good instructions. A few extra units of the needed hardware is a good touch. The wood seemed to have a good finish. The unit assembled easily and once assembled the joints were tight and straight. It works very nicely as a chair side table and looks great. Compared with other furniture I have purchased which needed assembly, his is some of the best.

Very poor quality control

Got 2 of these end tables delivered by UPS today and when I tried to assemble them I found that the Allen bolt holes in the legs did not match up to the holes drilled in the frame of the table top. They are about 3/4 of an inch or more off. Also one of the side pieces had a couple of gouges in them down to the bare wood. I'm very unhappy with the poor quality of Atlantic Furniture. After connecting with Atlantic Furniture I found out that this table was backordered until late August so decided to fix the problems myself. Cut the excess off of the legs so the bolt holes would line up and stained the gouge in the one side panel. When I put them together I realized that they are a very good design with the strength of dowels and wood screws once put together they are very sturdy. I only wish they had better quality control.

looks good for the price

Good color. fairly close to online photo. extra dowels and screws were a nice inclusion but unfortunately were needed. Pilots holes for the screws would have been nice. One stripped screw head and one oversized dowel. Well packaged with no damage in shipping but a marred top surface and two small chips, most likely done between manufacturing and shipping. Assembly instructions were good but felt or soft plastic pads for the legs would have been nice. If it wasn't for the marred top surface the rating would have been five stars

Simple Elegance, Beautifully Crafted

I was looking for mid-sized end table with lower storage. This table fit the bill beautifully! It is well-crafted and easy to assemble. The finish is a rich, dark walnut which will complement any setting. Extra fasteners are included in case one is misplaced or damaged during assembly. It is quite sturdy and looks great! I've ordered the matching 14" wide table for the other end of the loveseat.

Really nice table once put together, and attractive. I would buy again. But I have to say that assembly can go bad very quickly. There are several philips head screws to install at an awkward angle that do not have pilot holes. The result is that great care must be taken to align the parts and hold in place while driving those screws. Stripping the philips slots is likely before the screws are fully seated making removal very difficult and scrambling to find replacement screws to start over.

Very nicely finished

I didn't want to spend this much money on an end table to be used for my computer printer, but this is the only one I found that exactly matched the finishes of my computer desk and my personal desk. The pieces of the table were exceptionally well packaged - not a single dent, scratch, or ding on any parts. It was not hard to put together. All screws etc. were included, plus a few spares. My only criticism would be that I just could not get every part to fit together completely flush to each other, no matter how much I tightened the screws. But when I turned the assembled table upright, all those tiny gaps were no longer apparent. I'm glad I purchased this. It looks great in my "office".
