Ordered this frame in twin xl. Very nice looking bed but it is too wide (notice the gap in the picture) and it comes with only three wood slats. My husband had to wind up buying more slats and nailing them in. We were afraid it wouldn’t support the mattress. Posting this review because I want anyone considering purchasing to be aware of this. We wound spending more time and money. didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning it.

This bed came in three boxes. Headboard, frame and slay kit. The caramel was a nice color. Fairly easy to put together. The material feels really nice, I like the option to either set the bed in higher legs or lower legs. This is why I gave it four instead of three stars. The down fall of this frame is it just sits on the headboard with a big hook so when you need to move it to vacuum under the bed frame comes apart if you aren’t careful. It feels sturdy. There are 4 additional support legs in the middle but the Allen wrench provided kept stripping when you screw together so we had to use our own. The slats are held to the frame with 8 wood screws but there was no pilot holes. We winged it. It looks good and for a kid I think it’s good. I just hope he doesn’t try to climb under and unhook the frame getting trapped. Kids...

Beautiful color and strong solid wood feel. The only reason I rated it 4 star is because one of the headboard legs arrived with a crack in it. The actual manufacturer of the bed was horrible to deal with. But I then contacted Overstock to replace the cracked leg and they had excellent customer service and quickly replaced it. Also, the slats to support the mattress are not quite long enough which made it a little difficult to screw into the side rails. So really my issues are more with the manufacturer not with Overstock. I will definitely buy from them again!!

Love the bed, it is sturdy, and the color is as close to the photo as I had hoped. The only problem I had was that I was using this frame as a platform bed, no box spring, and the setting for the platform height on the headboard did not have slots cut high enough so that the headboard could accommodate the side rails. I had to drill out enough room so that the side rails could attach high enough for the platform to work. Other than that it went together easily, the directions were okay. Quality control needs take care of this issue. Not everyone would have a drill to take care of this issue.
