The correct parts for my Moen T999 Chateau Two Knob Roman Tub Kit was Moen 143002 Handle Adapter Kit and the Moen 14709 Replacement. The 14709 has a blue and red plastic piece that can be used as the 2.7" length or in my case I was able to use a hacksaw and cut off one inch off of the blue and red pieces to fit my T999.

Yay - Home Essentials Direct comes through for me again! Old Roman tub faucet was Moen Kingsley. Switched out to Moen Caldwell. The spout fit on existing valve perfectly but the old stem extenders were too long. I thought I would cut these down but to my surprise, they were shorter by the perfect amount!
