Dented Upon Delivery; Door Distorted

This arrived well packaged in heavy duty bubble wrap, but was nonetheless dented in the front and back, and the left door (with the lock), was bent. It's functional, but it's a challenge to get the door to latch, the dents are disappointing, and I fear it will dent easily. I'm trying to decide whether to return or keep it.

Locker arrived looking good in packaging. Opened up and unit dented and warped ie. unusable. A pain to repack but no problem returning to HD.

Reasonably Happy with Purchase

I opted for these fully assembled cabinets instead of the box store options as it seems to be a bit thicker gauge than what was offered in the store. I am overall happy as they will look good in the garage. After reading the negative reviews and expecting less, I received cabinets that were undamaged and fits in the garage well. The spot welds could be closer together and I would have liked it to be a bit more "engineered" but it is as advertised and I am reasonably happy.

Disappointed. The cabinet appeared fine but the door frame was slightly bent. I am keeping it but I’m disappointed in the quality. It is workable but aggravating to have to jiggle and work so hard to shut the door. Sandusky cabinets not the same quality as I have experienced in the past with ownership of several.

The quality of a Sandusky Elite cabinet is not what I had expected. This cabinet is not worth the money even at the sale price. Very disappointed in this cabinet.

Very happy with this excellent, made in the USA cabinet! Well made, sturdy and looks great in the shop. The last 6 steel storage cabinets I purchased for my shop had to be assembled. That was a time consuming hassle. This one comes fully assembled. Open the box, slide it in place, set the shelves where you need them and it's ready to go! I also like the secure handle/locking mechanism for the doors, my other cabinets use tiny magnets that often times allows the doors to pop back open. I wish I had learned of these Sandusky cabinets sooner.

Overall the cabinet is what I needed, but the craftsmanship was poor the holes for the locking pins did not match up, and I had to fix them myself because I didn't want to have to wait another 2 weeks and send the cabinet back. This cabinet failed to meet our expectations. We had purchased this model expecting it would be similar to previously purchased sandusky cabinets. It was a complete disappointment, the fit and finish were awful, we will never order this item again.

The cabinets from Home Depot were a little bit higher price but they came in with no damage when I picked them up. I ordered two of these from another company, shipped to home and they came in with fork truck damage that I had to hammer out. If I have to order these again, I’ll get them from Home Depot.

I wanted a metal storage cabinet for my garage of a particular height, width & depth and found this Sandusky to fit that requirement at a good price. The exterior has a nice finish level and I especially like having 5 interior shelves (many unit only come with 4). It is fairly light gauge steel, which is fine for my needs, but you would need to shop elsewhere (and pay more) if you want heavy duty.

Very thin sheet metal. Had been dropped on top corner back side so at least the doors worked. The shelves were not tied or packaged in any way . Just loose inside storage cabinet . It did cost less than most of the other brands I looked at. I guess you get what you pay for.

Nice well built cabinet MADE IN U.S.A. Used this in my garage to get organized. I set the cabinet along the side wall and with the recessed handle, I don't have to worry about running into it when I get in and out of my car. Thicker metal than most cabinets and holds heavier items without a problem. Nice powder coat paint.

Beware, this cabinet has created a lot of grief. Was supposed to arrive in around 7 weeks, took 13 weeks. If you need something quickly, do not buy this. They kept moving the delivery date without explanation and Wayfair tried to help but it was a mess. When it arrived, it had dents and large areas of paint scratching. Even though it was wrapped in plastic and in a box. On the cabinet was a sign with a number to call directly to the manufacturer with issues. Phones didn’t work. Tried the email, finally heard back, they said they’d send paint, never came, now no longer return emails. This company is a disgrace and doesn’t make buying American made worth it. I rated 3 stars because it’s roomy, fits all my stuff, was easy to install the shelves but I would NEVER Buy again. Not worth the hassle.

The free standing garage cabinet is awesome. Very simple putting up the shelves. We adjusted the shelves the way we wanted to place them. The price was reasonable and everything fits perfectly on the shelves. Would recommend this Sandusky cabinet.

Excellent cabinet! Well packed, shelves adjust easily and securely. Glad we bought it. One thing to know is that there are spot-weld dimples in the door that only show up in a cross-lighting. Still, a great value and excellent for the garage/workshop!

This is an excellent patio tool and cooking supply cabinet. In the desert if you don't keep it inside between uses you need a solid latching cabinet to get the job done. The Sandusky Elite Series fit the bill for us. During the summer we cook more outside than we would consider doing indoors. As the day cools down from the 100's we start moving outside as the sun goes down. The latch system on the Sandusky Elite gives us security that what we need will be there as the light goes down and we move to the firepit, bar-b-que, smoker or burner top becomes our dinner choice. It's more relaxed than a restaurant and keeps the house cooler for the nights rest to come.

For the price they could be studier

A $400 cabinet I expected a little better quality. Yes, it is for the garage and probably less cost than a custom built in. The metal is flimsy even after construction and both the cabinets I ordered were already pre dented for me. I order these because these were the deepest cabinets you could buy. Why they can not make the metal slightly thicker or a couple of metal braces, I do not know the answer. On the positive side they do look nicer than most metal cabinents. The combination lock does not look like it will last too long, but I could be wrong. If these were $200 cabinets, they would have a better rating by me.
