Great product. It came completely put together, other than putting the shelves in it. That was a big plus. It has lots of storage space, and the color was perfect. The cabinets are made well and look very nice in our garage. We are glad we purchased them.

I have never rated a product as poor. The issue is that 3 for 3 cabinets arrived damaged. I did not realize that they were damaged until I removed the well packaged bubble wrap and cardboard that was wrapped around the cabinets. The damage appears to be from something heavy being dropped on the roof of the cabinets. My frustration is that the cabinets should be inspected by Home Depot in the warehouse. The product should be certified as being ready for costumer to pickup. The customer doesn’t have the resources to perform an inspection as it’s being loaded there vehicle.

Great solid cabinet. Handle and locking mechanism was very easy to install. I have used this brand in the past and they all have held up for many years. If you are looking for a superior quality product, I recommend purchasing this cabinet.

These cabinets a re 20 gauge vs. 22 gauge of the cheaper ones and it is noticeable. Shipping prebuilt is a time saver and less frustrating. They came wrapped in heavy bubble wrap and I had no damage to the four I purchased. They have 5 compartments and due to the items I put in them, I have 4 shelves left over. For the price, they are great for the garage...heavier than most cabinets but not industrial. I would buy again if needed.

Sandusky cabinets are junk

Bought 4 Classic series cabinets and were not as described. Description said they had 3 hinges on each door and 4 shelfs. received mine to find cheep spring pin hinge at top and bottom. Doors were sloppy and didnt close good. came with 5 shelfs that were cheap tin. Suppose to hold 150lbs...GOOD LUCK!! Home Depot took them back with full refund.. Bought great cabinets from Global instead!!

Ordered 4 of these cabinets for our home garage remodeling project due to the quick delivery timeframe and to take advantage of the limited time of the FREE SHIPPING and LIFTGATE DELIVERY special offer. Cabinets arrived within 10 days and were dollied from the truck to my garage door. When we uncovered the cabinets from all the shipping materials we found 3 out of the 4 had damaged doors and the 4th looked like a forklift creased the side wall!!! We notified the company immediately, took pictures of all the damages and the representative promised to send 3 new cabinets asap. The new cabinets arrived within 10 days and they were ok (except one did not have the locking mechanism enclosed!). We installed our 4 cabinets and put the damaged ones to the curb. It was not a pleasant experience and certainly not worth the $1500 we paid for them. They look nice but the metal is thin and the shelves begin to sag once you put more than 40lbs. of weight on them. Very flimsy for almost $400 per cabinet.

Works perfectly for our garage storage needs. Perfect size and color, with five adjustable shelves. I highly recommend this cabinet.

I bought four of these cabinets. I also have purchased several of the Husky cabinets from Home Depot. I selected the Sandusky cabinets because of the number of shelves provided and the ability to place them wherever you want inside the cabinet. Overall I like the Husky cabinets but you are limited in the shelf placement because of the way the cut the bracket slots. Also, the Husky cabinets only give you three shelves per unit. You can buy additional shelves for them but you have to buy a two-pack and getting five shelves into the Husky cabinets really limits the space on each shelf.

The shelves easily held my heaviest materials without sagging. The price was less than other comparable brands and the quality was quite sufficient for my needs. There were enough models available that I was able get the perfect sizes I needed. I would definitely buy them again.

Almost a 5 for what it is

Picked up at store, so it arrived without dents. It was exactly what I thought it would be in terms of form, fit, and function. Took awhile to figure out the handle. The video at the Sandusky Cabinet site http://www.sanduskycabinets.com/videos/threepoint/3point.html is not only terribly annoying (who thought all that flashing enhanced the production quality), poorly made, and shows hardware that doesn't exactly match what I received (latch is attached to the locking rod). Figured it out except for the plastic piece that looks like a weird T. Don't know if I'm supposed to pull it apart and use it for feet under the cabinet or what. Guys, even when only minimal assembly is required, please give us a reasonable set of instructions. If I'd gotten that, it would be a 5. This is what you get when everyone cuts every corner to increase profit margins. Customer satisfaction is one of the first victims.

LOVE this cabinet. Had to replace a particle board version that was falling apart. The plastic shelf holders were breaking under the stress of weight. Cabinet sits in garage with all the “Costco” bulk items. This one is super sturdy, has more shelves, the hold more weight(150lbs each) than my previous. Doors are not only key locking, but just secured when closed with pin mechanism. I can’t say enough. Came completely assembled and shipped securely in lots of packaging. You will need a truck to get it home. Only con is I wish the fun colors weren’t so expensive, but this black one is a beauty too. Crazy to be excited about a cabin but this one is a winner! Well worth the price. Would buy again.

This Sandusky 72x36x18 inch steel cabinet is just what I needed for storing cutting tools and measuring equipment used with my milling machine. The cabinet has 5 easily adjustable shelves that allowed me to position the shelves perfectly for my needs. The door has a lock to keep my equipment secure.The cabinet is well built and sturdy and comes with a very nice finish. The cabinet was received with no bent parts and no blemishes in the finish. I'm very happy with this cabinet and will purchase another one that I will use in a different location.

So far, so good and it looks great! My main concerns in purchasing this item were the poor experiences others had in terms of quality and the item being damaged/dented. I’m glad I went with a pre-assembled one. It not only saves me time but I think it also helped reduce the amount of risk for things to get damaged. It came in a huge box. Inside the item was fully wrapped in plastic. Along the top and bottom edges it had styrofoam. I could see where if something hit the middle area hard, it could dent the panels, but overall the box and packaging was sufficient.

The handle seems secure enough, with catches on top, bottom and center. The units are not packaged well and can be damaged. Some of the doors don't close without hanging. I've bought 7 of these and 5 have problems or defects.

Product wasn’t manufactured properly and is missing stamps in the sheet metal that add necessary in order to install shelving INSIDE the cabinet. Naturally, I only find this out after driving the cabinet all over town, unboxing it, and partially assembling only to make the discovery that I can’t use the cabinet. Lovely. Packaged it back up, drove it back to the store, and that’s the end of that. One bad cabinet would be an isolated thing... this is SIX defective cabinets now that I’ve received from Sandusky. I understand they have incompetent people building their products and that cheap labor is hard to come by, but honestly, INSPECT!

Paint job is not as you would expect. It does not have the gloss polished look one would expect from a painted metal cabinet. Next to my toolbox and other equipment it appears to be dull. Also, the cabinet was taped shut for shipping to prevent damaged. Unfortunately, they used cellophane tape that is normally used to seal cardboard boxes. It was exceedingly difficult to remove from the painted surface.

The instructions for this are very poor. The diagram is pretty useless. It's not difficult at all but if you like step-by-step well labeled instructions you don't get that.

All metal, solid and durable construction. I also like the fact that it's made in the USA (or so the sticker says). The cabinet comes almost fully assembled. All you need to install is the locking mechanism and shelves which is very easy to do. It took me longer to unpack everything than it did to construct. Be aware though since this product is almost full assembled, it is huge and comes on a wooden pallet base. Be sure to bring a truck if you are picking it up at the store and you may need a buddy to help you to unload it. I highly recommend this product!!

I bought three of these Cabinets Classic Series 72" H x 36" W x 18" D- I also purchased 3 Aftermarket dolly's that fit under them. The Cabinets are made Tough! I was actually surprised how nice they are. I have no clutter laying around in my garage now! I HAD SOME OLD STICKERS LAYING AROUND AND I PUT THEM ON THE CABINETS! Nobody's ever going to see them but it made me happy just to personalize them like that. Make sure to buy the dolly's- It makes moving them a round a Breeze you guys! These are worth every penny!
