Very durable and provide excellent traction to prevent slipping on stairs but had a very noticeable unpleasant factory smell for several months so I only can give 4 out of 5.

[Rewarded Review] Very Thick, well made stair treads by Moderna

These rubber stair treads from Moderna are made from high quality rubber. They are thick and they set very well on the stairs. The raised surface seems like it offers good grip and will dissipate water/snow quickly. I'm using wood screws to fasten them down for the upcoming winter months as driving in nails would force you to tear them to be able to remove. They are stamped with a Goodyear logo so I think they are going to last for quite a while. Simple install, place and fasten and you're done. I live in the Northeast so I'll update this review with info and photos as to how they hold up over the winter months.

[Rewarded Review] Very Nice Heavy Duty Stair Treads

I got these stair treads for my wood stairs by the patio back door and the back door to the house. I had some plants sitting on the stairs by the patio door which left stains on the wood stairs. These treads were great, big enough to cover the stains, very easy to install and they are thick and heavy - I don't think they are going to blow away. They are very nice with the lip on the front of the treads to hold them down. If you have a concern about them possibly blowing around I think this could be easily solved by either tacking them down with a couple of nails or screws or using a double sided tape. As the wood stairs have a tendency to get slippery when it snows, these treads will be a big help in the winter with the zig-zagging ribbed surface that they have. Since these treads are made by Goodyear I would expect them to be a quality product.

[Rewarded Review] Problematic installation

I ordered the treads because the stairs leading from our garden to the deck stayed muddy all the time. These rubber treads look very nice, but installation is problematic. Without any sort of adhesive, using the tread is very dangerous because the bottom is so slick that even normal walking up the stair causes the treads to slip. I ordered two different kinds of double-sided outdoor tape in an attempt to solve the problem, but neither would stick to the rubber tread. I finally had to use 1-inch #8 black wood screws to secure the treads to the stairs. It may have helped if there had been any sort of installation instructions or recommendations included in the box, but there were none. The treads are doing the job I’d hoped they would, but I’m unhappy that I had to use screws to attach them to the stairs. I’m afraid that will become a problem when it comes time to power wash or re-stain the stairs.

[Rewarded Review] It's a bit disappointing

I was super excited to try these out I have some on my front steps and some steps by the garage but I really needed a new set for my back porch. I guess I'm used to a different brand or different types because most of them have some sort of texture on the bottom. This is why these get only two stars! They're slick so think of getting a big thick piece of rubber and sticking it on some concrete and then hoping it doesn't slide. I followed the suggestions and bought two sided tape and the tape stuck really well to the concrete steps but no matter what I did would not stick to the actual stair tread. It's really a shame cuz I like the way it's designed with the lip that hugs the edge of the step. I'm going to try them out and see what happens but the first time one slips I may end up having to pull them up so I don't hurt myself or anyone else. The thickness and the look is very nice so there's a positive note. Maybe these would work on wood or metal but they don't work very well on concrete. Hope this

[Rewarded Review] Good rubber treads

These are good stair treads. They do have a strong rubber odor when opening, so best to let it air out first if you plan to use them indoors. They are a good size and the rubber is really quite thick. I haven’t tested them against snow and ice yet, but I do think they would be really helpful in making an outdoor stairway safer in bad weather and reduce slippage.
