We wanted a towel rack with the rod attached to the wall to avoid the typical problem with other rack where the rods lossen from the base and smash onto the tile floor. This is perfect as a towel rack, and wolud also make a pretty good grab bar if that were the intended use.

It's a good safety bar disguised as a towel rack, good for both. However, Home depot lists it as being rated for 500 pounds, while Moen rates it at 250 pounds. Home Depot obviously needs to correct their listing.
