Hard to find but worth the search

I was grateful to have found this model since 3-handle taps are very hard to find & I needed to replace those that were original to my house & over 60 years old. The taps were installed 2 days ago & are working well & look great. The downside was that my experienced plumber found the instructions to be quite complicated & the installation took over 6 hours to complete. The good news, however, is that should anything go wrong, the cartridge is a single piece, & easily replaced. This would have been a 5-star rating had the installation been easier.

Received broken, store employee said I couldn't talk to her like that, because they repacked broken items to sell.

It was bad

The product did not work out of the box. Mohen said this was normal when i called.

Junk escutcheon plates.

Overall it seems to be a very well built faucet. The handles are metal and heavy for their size which is a good thing but they took the cheap road on the escutcheon plates. They are plastic chrome and they press on. All faucets that I have installed have screw on metal plates providing extra stability to the faucet mounting surface.

Controls w/ good weight and feel shower head is OK

Good quality valves with some weight to them and a good feel. The shower head is a weak spot. Kind of cheap and doesn't make a great spray. I wish the diverter valve had more flexibility to save water with some sort of middle position to reduce the general flow than bring it back to full quickly. I know there are accessories to buy and add to the shower head, but it would be nice to have it integrated like the faucet it has replaced.

Leaks

I just replaced a leaking valve with this one and after two showers the valve is leaking again!!. The install of the valve was easy after cutting into the wall and handle set was also fine. However stopping a leak was the whole reason for the repair and now it leaks so this product if a total failure!!!

Everyone is right, this is a terrible set.

First to admit, didn't do a ton of research on this purchase.. I was looking for a particular configuration and the right look. Moen is a trusted brand, I thought I was good to go... I was not.. The knob action is absolutely atrocious. Once i did get them tightened where i felt comfortable for use, they were at terrible angles. Then there's the shower head... it looks fine, but man is that a weak stream. If you've got a buzz cut, you're in great shape here... but anything more than that?? lol... prepare to take a good 3-4 minutes to get your hair wet!!!! Very disappointed, really wanted to return it, but didn't really want the household to have to deal with the disaster bathroom any longer than they already had!!! Look elsewhere!

Buyer beware

Unfortunately the first unit I was sold was defective where the valves wouldn't rotate. This faulty part ended up costing an addition $500 in labor, 5x the cost of the part.

Poor quality

I bought this faucet about five years ago and I didn't do my research. Here are the problems: 1. The knobs and other hardware are plastic. If you have any kind of water deposits it will not stay looking good for long. 2. It restricts water flow. If you live in California, I guess that's good. I don't need to ration water. 3. This faucet needs a lot of repair. I've just changed the "inserts" for the third time. (The inserts are plastic parts that open and close the valve and have two O ring washers on either end.) These break down and cause leaks and have to be replaced.

Just what we needed

Beauty and simple elegance, this Moen three handle set is exactly what we were looking for in our tub/shower combination.

Worked for what I needed it for

Nice weight to the metal handles

rdered a three handle bathtub - shower faucet. We own an older home with the three handle set-up and its what my husband prefers. We chose this Moen. We could have ordered from a local chain hardware store for about $40.00 more as it was not in stock. This item was as described. It arrived on the earliest date provided. I liked in the description, it said chrome/ metal. Metal was important to me and it is metal, not chrome colored plastic. It also included the valve. This was exactly what I was looking to buy. We plan to use a different shower headone that is handheld.

Disaster from the Beginning

This is the worst home product I've ever purchased and a complete waste of money. I installed this somewhat easily, but the stems leaked immediately. I decided I would just replace the cartridges and take it as a loss. Nope. The cartridges are completely stuck. Won't budge. This this is going in the trash, and I'll buy something else. Waste of my time and my money.

Nice fixture

Needed to replace the manifold behind the walls, so I took the opportunity to replace the faucet and handles too. Looks great and is easy to use. Updated the shower without too much effort. Easy to install. Good overall. The handles fit beautifully. I have a Pfister assembly already in my tub but the handles broke. Pfister assemblies are so very hard to find so I was very lucky.

Terrible quality

I have never had this much hassle installing a faucet before, the valve stems are so cheap I'm afraid to move them for breaking them, I know it's low end at $119.00, buy this is going back to lowes tomorrow for a refund, after spending a whole evening fighting with the poor design of this thing

Replaced the same thing as before that quit working.
