Great Performance!

I have two of these to heat a 3-season patio throughout the winter. They are amazing. One is perfect for warming up personal space when I am outside throwing a ball with my GSD. Running both at once quickly warms and maintains a comfortable outdoor space when I have guests over for cigars. I mostly run mine on low once a space is warmed up. What is most impressive about them is that they fire right up after coming out of storage.

Quality heater, good BTU's

WooHoo! My garage is warm (when I need it) four years now, those nasty pie heaters would barely give me one and a half winters. Good idea to get a 40 pound tank 'cause heat ain't free.

Great way to heat a large shop. With the tempture in the 20's, I was able to heat my 24x24 shop in less then an hour. I would recommend this heater to anyone needing a protable heat source.

it works very well, the pictures don't really show its size, it's about twice the size I expected.

NOT for inside use.

A very strange products functionality. On one hand it says NO-NO for the inside use, on the other hand you cannot ignite it outside if a small wind presents. Why ? Because there is no piezo igniter and you have to use matches. So just imagine you have to use your left hand to push a red button to start a propane supply and keep it pushed, same time somehow you have to strike a match and start a fire. I tried several times while being outside - not possible. Well, I went inside, ignited the heater and came back to outside. If you feel such a procedure to carry flamed 45000 BTU fire standing on a 5 GA propane tank suits your dream, buy it. I would not.

Mr Heater

I gave it a four because I think it needs a heat deflector so it can divert the heat in a direction of where you want heat. It is powerful and warms up the area and my shop but a lot of heat rises straight up and is waste. But all in all a good buy I'll just make something and most likely buy another one at some point.

Easy setup

NOT for inside use.

A product picture was promising on Lowe's website as well as a description. In fact, the product lacks several basic features. There is no piezo igniter. That means you have to push a gas starter red knob by one hand and a lighter by another one. Just remember, this heater is NOT for inside application, so you have to stay outside to start it up. Here UpState New York winter temperature stays close to 0F often, so a kitchen lighter does not work. Therefore you have to use old fashioned matches. I like to ask such a heater engineer or a designer/developer how to start it OUTSIDE with two hands only available : to hold a propane delivery knob pushed and to light a match the same time ? Manual repeats for zillion times about NOT inside usage: not for a camper, not for a house, not for a tent. The heater is not supplied with oxygen depletion automatic shut off as other Mr. Heater radiant heaters. Therefore, indeed its not safe to burn it inside. Gonna return it back for sure. Absolute useless and unsafe device.

Easy to set up on top of a tank. Does not have it's own ignitor though, must use a match or other lighting method. Needs a deflector over the top of it, the heat mostly goes straight up and away! Blows out easily in any breeze I discovered. Not very useful in this arctic freeze we just had here in Texas unfortunately.
