The instructions were very vague at times

Everything worked great. The MrCool company were with us on the phone if we had any questions before buying. Because of that we bought just what we need and it works great.

Pluses: well built, fairly easy to install, quiet, and does work well to cool and heat. Minuses - control software not well designed - if multi-units are at different set points, the non-primary unit will display "- -", incompatible mode. This happens under all modes, included fan mode. Also the covering on the pressure lines from inside to out is marginal. One really needs a custom chase to protect it. Software and function support is poor at best.

Great Product, Really Bad Retail DIY Experience

Packaging not sufficient for delivery by common carriers - original and 1st replacement both delivered damaged from dropping on side, DO NOT ORDER THIS FOR HOME DELIVERY.

Impossible to talk to support team

Installed the unit a week and a half ago. Installation was a snap. Turned it on for initial run and instantly threw an error code on startup. Followed the troubleshooting instructions in the manual to call in. Been trying to just talk to someone for over a week now and the line just keeps you on hold and more hold. Where's the customer service?

Very easy to install and unit is very quiet, inside and out, and air is ice cold. Great Product.

Loving the A/C comfort at our off-grid homestead!

I selected Mr Cool after doing a ton of research and wanting a product that I could DIY and not void the warranty. The product was well packed and arrived fine. The installation was very straightforward for a competent DIY'er. Just read all of the instructions before starting and take your time. I am blown away at how efficient this system runs, how quiet it is and how well it works. We live off-grid and it only pulls between 500 and 800 watts which puts no strain on our power system.

Mr Cool Team not getting back to us

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this product. As soon as we started using it, it gave us a PC01 error code that we can't resolve.

Terrible packaging, shipping, and handling

Have ordered twice. Both times had to refuse due to destroyed packing with parts missing and hanging out the box.

Unit came very damaged. The battle with HD to return and get refunded was lengthy. Still do not have the refund. Will buy elsewhere when I get my money back.

2nd Mr. Cool heat pump. Works great.

The unit works great, even though when I received the main unit, the box was severely damaged. The unit was damaged cosmetically but it still works. I will not be ordering something like this online to be shipped to my house ever again just for the fact is I was expecting it to show up perfect condition and it was damaged, and I still have a package that was supposed to come with it. Dad still has never been shipped.

Excellent customer support. Started the install this weekend, the directions are clear and precise. So far all went smoothly. Looking forward to finishing it up in two weeks.

My living room unit is not cooling

Never received product

Ordered a MrCool mini split on May 2. It was supposed to be ready to pick up in store on May 10. As of this date May 16 it has never been delivered to the store and no HD employee can tell me what happened to my nearly $3000 order. I think they have reordered it but I don’t know and have no way to confirm. As far as a product review I have to say I can’t tell you because HD hasn’t delivered. On this review they ask if you would like to leave a picture but I don’t know what to leave a picture of. Maybe a pic of my empty HVAC pad and my 230v disconnect that’s not connected to anything? IDK?

Extremely satisfied with unit heating and cooling 750 square feet. Probably could have used the 1200 vs 1800 but having two rooms decided on this application with two heads. Overall inside and out the units are like what you review, very quiet. This is one of the products on the market that I feel is a great deal for the consumer, value, product quality, craftsmanship, and the packaging is unbelievable! Very very well done!! Actually a fun install and so well covered with the instructions. Best bang for the buck this year by far!
