As advertised.

Runs fine. Only will heat to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Ran it on high fan speed with max heat setting and it only took my 750 sq.ft garage from 52 to 59. The garage does have a 10 ft ceiling so my space is kind of too big for this unit. Better suited for a little smaller area. I’m anxious to see how the cooling function does this summer.

It cools down the living room much better than my old 10K BTU portable air conditioner, which is expected. It is also more compact compared to the old one, which is very good.

I wish the drain was a little higher to facilitate a longer drain line.

Great cooling but very labor intensive

This item has been extremely labor intensive. First, despite being standard 110-volt AC, it drew so much power, I had to get an electrician to install a dedicated line (requires 12 amps with momentary 15 amp) because even with all other items on that line off, it still tripped the circuit breaker in less than 5 minutes. Second, the water capacity is too small and it shut itself off in less than 10 hours because it was full. Third, the drain is on the very bottom requiring me to elevate the entire thing to get a drain pan of sufficient shallow size to allow the water to gravity drain. Third, the drain doesn't have a plug, just a screw on cap. It starts leaking as you are unscrewing but you can't attach the drain hose (not included) until the cap is fully removed and now you have a watery mess underneath. Fourth, you have to constantly monitor the drain bucket or it will overflow and dump water all over your floor. If you leave the house, you must shut it off or it may overflow before you can return. If you decide to close the drain while gone, it requires re-installing the cap after removing the hose meaning once again draining all over until the cap is fully secured. I have another one of these from a different manufacturer which includes a plug inside the cap for a quick change when ready. This one needs one!!!

The unit has certainly been getting a workout this hit summer ing Georgia! One problem…remote is non functional, and I need to contact the manufacturer. I am hoping the heater does a well as the AC system later this fall and winter.

Impractical cooling unit

AC has to be emptied regularly otherwise unit will shut off, unless you hook up a drain tube which is not supplied. Emptying the tank wouldn't be a problem but the unit only holds about 1 gallon of water. Also there is no drawer type tank you pull out like a dehumidifier, you need to empty the water into a bucket (by lifting this 60+ pound unit) from a little valve in the back. We planned on using this to cool our 600 sq ft garage for our dogs but will have to find something else more practical, like a mini split. I think this should be half the price for the value.

Says it cools up too 700sqft but it doesn't.

Great air conditioner!!

Bought this a week ago for our 1000 sq ft cabin in Maine for the summer months. So happy that I did. Humidity was very high and would have been too uncomfortable to stay in cabin during day or sleep at night. Unit was easy to hook up and has cooled off the cabin. Highly recommend this unit.

Doesn’t get as cold as our window unit which is only 12,000 btu.

Very Efficient

We bought this unit to place in our RV. We are started using it and we are very happy with it. Exhaust hose is simple to set up. A/C has rollers so when the drain pan is full, the A/C will shut off. We roll it to the door, attach the hose and drain the water.

Thought it would cool a little better than it does…. Otherwise like it and would probably buy it again.

Savior in this heat

This product works great. I bought this unit because I was worried about my old ground level central ac breaking down and since it gets cold in the fall I thought having the added heater wouldn't hurt when that time comes. My central ac did kick the bucket, but luckily this thing has been keeping me alive in all this heat while I wait to get my ac repaired. I use it mainly in my living room and its been a workhorse. It cools the room down really well and I can watch tv with it on no problem.
