[Rewarded Review] Fantastic Air Conditioner!
This thing is a beast! We put this in our son's room across the house and man does it keep things cool and constant. It's whisper quiet and incredibly portable. Very easy to setup too!
[Rewarded Review] High-quality design and easy to move
The air conditioning has its tires to move it comfortably without the need for efforts. The material looks of high quality and in terms of the cooling force it is powerful. Only for me it didn't work because I live in a trailer and it gets very hot because my city has been at 111 degrees. For this reason, I returned the article. So I need a much more powerful air conditioner
[Rewarded Review] Easy to set up comfortable cool
This AC unit came just in time to save the day! I was having a party at my house that was intended to be spent mostly outdoors, but Mother Nature had different plans. With the extra people inside my home and humid weather, the Aeric Portable Air Conditioner was a game changer. Kept my guests comfortable and cool and was easy to set up.
[Rewarded Review] Great to have during these heat wave summers
Living in Florida our weather has been brutal so having this has been very helpful. It’s easy to move around and easy to set up and seems to be pretty quiet. It’s nice being able to move it around to different rooms if/when needed. Our kitchen gets really hot when we cook so we’ve been using it in there.
[Rewarded Review] Perfect for medium sized rooms!
Its combination of effective performance, user-friendly features, and sleek design makes it a worthwhile investment for maintaining comfort during hot seasons.
[Rewarded Review] Easy set up and cools very quickly.
Cooled off our master bedroom very quickly for sleeping on hot summer nights. This unit does need to be vented, but it was very easy to put together. It did not make a tight seal with our large bedroom window so we did need to use some cardboard and duct tape to make it seal correctly. Perfect addition to an upper level bedroom that takes a really long time to cool off. It will be a game changer for us in the summer!
DOES THE JOB RIGHT!
I needed it as a supplemental cooling device for my first-floor home. The unit is quiet, pretty powerful and fully featured.
[Rewarded Review] Ice cold air from this portable A/C unit!
I was concerned at first with this as my UPS driver delivered it upside down, I let it set for a few days to be sure the oil in the compressor settled ok though. I unpacked the box, the outer carton slides up over the unit as it sets on a styrofoam base. It was nicely packed, although heavy so be careful, it does have lifting handles on the sides. It is a very pleasing design with integrated buttons on a smooth top. They light up so they are easy to see but the light can be turned off at night so it doesn’t light up the room, if that bothers you. The remote comes with batteries but you’ll need a screwdriver to take the cover off. The intake on the back has a removable filter to clean as does the bottom area around the compressor, however the lower one has a security screw that needs to be removed first, this is kind of weird why it is installed with this, but it’s nice and flush, clean look. The exhaust tube mounts to the back but is screwed in to the square adapter, this came out on mine and it’s a bit tricky to put back into place. It’s not straight forward as so how it goes back on. The top of the unit has a louver door which opens when the fan is turned on and can be set move so it directs the air in different directions or be stationary. It has three fan speeds, while quiet, seems very powerful and really moves the air. The air is very cold when running the A/C. The exhaust port has its own fan built in to push the hot air out when running the A/C or the dehumidifier features but turns off when just running the fan. The unit has small plastic casters for so it rolls around easily. I like how this can mount in the window without removing the screen so no worries about bugs getting in. Like a window unit the exhaust just mounts on the sill and the window holds it in place. The mounting plate is expandable to fit the window width. Overall I like this A/C unit and would recommend it to my friends.
[Rewarded Review] Works as it should, but the venting is a nightmare
I chose this unit to use in my primary bedroom instead of cooling down the whole house and as a backup should the central air stop working. The intended room is 221 sqft and the temperature did drop 5 degrees in about 15-20 minutes after turning the unit on full blast.
[Rewarded Review] Hot hot hot now cool cool cool!
Portable Air Conditioning Unit for my workshop. My workshop is 300 sq ft has closed cell foam insulation with tongue and grove on the walls. I'm in central Florida we are in summer time which is just brutally hot. I used the timer and scheduled the a/c to start at 0800am the outside temperature was already 82 degrees. I had the a/c set to 72. This portable a/c kept my workshop at 73 degrees all day. The temperature outside reached 95 degress during the hottest part of the day. So far I really like this unit for my workshop.
[Rewarded Review] Better than a window unit
We have had window units for the last 10+ years and this is my first portable, floor unit. It has its pros and cons compared to a window unit. It cools our den down to below 70 in less than 10 minutes and it is much quieter than our newest window unit. Its multiple features are also very nice like the ability to use it as a dehumidifier! I might use this in the future in a meat curing room. Some cons though, are that it is as heavy, if not heavier than a 8,000 btu window unit and the hose to the window isn’t that long, so the unit has to be very close to the window. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, however. I would recommend to others over a window unit.
[Rewarded Review] Portable Beats Window-Mount Hands Down
I live in the high desert of Arizona and have been cooling my home with a swamp cooler. We have periods of the year where the swamp cooler isn’t very effective (monsoon season). When I had the chance to try the 8,000 BTU SACC (12,000 BTU ASHRAE) 115-Volt Portable Air Conditioner by Aeric, I jumped at the opportunity. UNBOXING: The unit arrive via UPS and was extremely well packed. It was quite heavy and the carton was banded with plastic straps. Once the plastic bands were cut, the box lifted off the unit; no difficult tipping and box cutting to get the air conditioner safely out of the package. All the components were securely packaged in expanded polystyrene and arrived in perfect condition. INSTALLATION: About the only things that required any installation was the window panel and the exhaust hose. My windows are vinyl and, with a bit of modification to the window panel (cutting out a small notch-see images), the panel fit well and blended with the vinyl window. The exhaust hose was a bit stiff, but with a little care, I was able to get the bends I needed accomplished. The smooth-rolling casters glides the air conditioner anywhere you need it. MY USE: I will be using this only in the living/great room area that covers approximately 500 square feet, just within the specs of this unit. I plugged it in using the same outlet used by my electric fireplace, so it is on a dedicated circuit. INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions were very clear on the installation points, but especially void on operational techniques. With a bit of experimentation with the controls, remote as well as onboard, functions are straightforward. OPERATION: My first experiment was with the cooling function. Once the compressor kicked in, the unit emanated a horrendous vibration that was completely unacceptable. You could tell something was vibrating against the plastic cabinet. I removed the cover around the compressor area and saw the manufacturer had anti-vibration pads placed on the inside of the plastic wall. However, they were inaccurately placed and, as a result, did not provide for any vibration attenuation. I carefully moved a coil of copper tubing away from the wall of the cabinet by about 1/8 inch, and the vibration ceased. The temperature was adjusted to kick on the air conditioning feature and the cold air quickly came out the of the air outlet. The outlet cover oscillated up and down, and provided a gentle disbursement of the cold air. The thermostat accurately sensed the temperature and shut down as programmed. The fan remained on for a few more minutes to take advantage of the residual cold from the air conditioning coils. Later in the day I ran a full test on the air conditioning function. I set the thermostat to 78 degrees. The thermometer on the unit matched my Ecobee thermostat. The air conditioner cycled on and off flawlessly and maintained the temperature within 2 degrees. The fan noise was easy to get used to. OTHER FEATURES: This unit can be operated in fan-mode only and also as a space heater when room temperature is below 77 degrees F. Obviously, I cannot test this feature this time of year. Another feature not needed in Arizona is the dehumidifying mode, but is a great feature for those areas with high humidity. All functions can be controlled with a built-in timer. If you are using this in a sleeping area, you can time the unit to shut off providing a more quiet sleep. All features can be controlled by the remote. Aeric provides a 2-year warranty. This air conditioner from Aeric is certainly full-featured. RECOMMENDATION: I am only giving my unit 4-stars due to the vibration issue. Had that not been present, this is a 5-star product. This is so much better than a window-mount system and the portability just adds value to your purchase. Please give Aeric your consideration and thanks for reading.
