I don’t like the idea the drain is in the back on the very bottom! It should have a bin to empty. I feel for the money it is a poor design.

Very Disappointed

Item worked, occasionally, for 3 months last season. This year, no cold air at all. Form is nice, but function is horrible.

STOPPED WORKING

Bought it less than 24 months ago and it no longer works. Opened it up cleaned everything and everything is running just doesn’t blow cold air. Don’t waste your money for $400 I expected at least 5 years. Been running all day in a small room at 60 degrees and it’s 74 in the room.

Problems: Window Kit and Noise; Otherwise Great

I bought this because I needed a backup for the upstairs (my mini splits failed this year, and it took several weeks to get the whole system replaced). I already had a different brand's portable AC downstairs but needed something in the bedroom to get me through until I could get the new splits installed.

One Season Wonder

Worked just fine for the first season, as described. However, no cooling at all season 2, 13 months after purchase. Yep. One month after the warranty expired. I was hoping to get a few years out of it after spending $400.

Perfect for Seniors

We used this easily all summer last year. So cool!! More than we needed in our living and kitchen area. So easy to onstall. Replacing a bedroom window unit this year!!

Noisy

Even on the lowest fan setting, the fan will kick itself up higher and it's obnoxious, especially in a bedroom. It cools effectively but this is probably the noisiest portable AC I've ever owned. I don't think it's worth the money.

It works fine and I like how it operates. My only problem is that the window that the exhaust exits from is not as wide as the exit plate that comes with the machine. I contacted the company, but they do not have anything narrower, As a result, I had to make something myself which only marginally works.

It works great, the only issue is the hose connection to the back of the ac and to the window plate is cheap. Everytime you move the ac slightly, you need to reconnect it. Other than that no problems.

Definitely cools the room -be sure to check measurements to ensure your window is close enough to an outlet (you need the hose to reach the window while the short cord can also reach the outlet). A longer cord could improve. Definitely a bit loud but does the trick in a room without A/C.

It is a very loud unit, especially when you're trying to sleep. It was advertised with a "Sleep Mode" but I don't see it in the menus or the Owners Manual. One nice feature is the moving louvers. It disperses the air nicely. I feel you could do better for the money.

Because I was trying out the portable Amana I didn’t really notice too much. Then it was all I had for a few days and I was ver comfortable in the room I would move it to. Best decision.
