My vinyl fence was destroyed during hurricane Sally. Could not find the exact latch originally installed when fence went up. Finally did at Lowe's.

Excellent security for fenced gate

Superior quality, well made, thick and durable. Two keys provided.. WILL NOT LOCK behind you if you walk outside gate! Key must be inserted to lock. EXCELLENT so you won't lock yourself out (accidentally)...

Very good, but...

I've had one of these on each of my wrought-iron gates for about five years now, and they've worked very well. However, on the gate that gets used more, a grove has worn into the latch shank, where the locking claw engages it, so that it will not longer latch automatically when the gate closes. As I said, it lasted 4-5 years before this happened, so I guess that's not too bad, but maybe the manufacturer should have made that latch using a harder steel.

Replacement lock

Needed a replacement lock for our gate. This looked the same but I was confused because it says 10.24” and I knew the original lock wasn’t that big. Took a chance and ordered it. It is the exact same lock which made it very easy to replace.

[Rewarded Review] Only one side

Bought this not realizing it was only one side. I wanted to replace my current gate lock/handle but my gate has the ability to open from either side of the gate whereas this only lets you open from one side. However, the new keys that came with it fit in my existing lock so I basically bought a $30 pair of keys.

[Rewarded Review] Easy Fence Gate Latch

This was the easiest gate latch/combo to install. Just a few minutes and I had 2 of these installed.

The Key is the same

I had these locks installed by the fence company when I bought my house 15 years ago. We misplaced the keys, so we purchased new locks so we had control. Come to find out, the key that is in there works my old lock from 15 years ago. This isn't very safe knowing that I can spend $30 to get a key and unlock anybody's fence that has these installed. This company might want to rethink this.
